Edwards on fh having a slight did at sufc board. I turned off after 5 minutes. ffs wilder got sufc relegated and no one else should be blamed and wilder jumped ship imo. Let's get behind sufc board and players and new manager.
I've not listened to FH, don't intend to as it just seems to be a show designed to court controversy and get the caller numbers up, which is fine for a commercial Radio station having sponsors and advertisers to answer to, but BBC Sheffield have been very poor in this respect for many years, the Hume v Morgs discussion that they generated a few years ago was poor form and it hasn't seemed to improve on their midweek shows, with the idiot fans like Brian the Blade.
As for Edwards, he's a so called expert/ fan that gives an opinion in games, its not what i would call a co-commentator role as he always seems to want to make the game fit his agenda. Its painful listening at times. He was no doubt a fantastic player, but his opinions are so far behind the experts that we have got used to on bigger budget sky and even the politically correct bbc tv.
Wilder was fantastic, did an amazing job, the last season was something which we can all analyse and find a way to do a keith edwards, making the result fit our own agendas. But the fact was that Wilder, the board, the squad and the back room all contributed in their own way to both the demise and the subsequent relegation which followed soon after Wilders departure. I was one of the many that wanted Wilder to be in charge still this coming Saturday, but it wasn't to be. We didn't give him the send off he deserved either, which saddens me.
The Prince and the board can't hide, they made mistakes, they've publicly explained themselves and it was all quite sketchy. Wilder resigned but it was effectively a sacking as he was put into what he believed was an untenable position. The jury was out for me on the Prince and how he would recover from this situation.
Bringing Slav in, was perhaps not the straight forward cliched appointment that we expected. Some of the names linked really sent a shudder down my spine, but I believe that of all the realistic options out there and amongst considerable competition, Slav is the best man for the job to return us to the Premier league.
I'm a great believer in moving forward and i think the appointment this summer, the lack of movement in the transfer market, in retaining players (at the time of writing) and Slav making use of the squad that he has inherited, is indeed giving the club the best chance possible.
100% behind the Board, the Manager and the players to do the job over the season. Mousset for league top scorer, Blades to win the League.
