Genuine question but do you think that everyone that plays at MosFest should boycott the event??
My issue has been just with people so closely associated with the club going. Nothing against him or him writing a book or putting an event together for it. Just think it's a shite look for the club.

The Ched saga didn't do the club any favours but we are still here :)

I get that mate but the club, or any club in fact, aren't exactly a beacon of everything good. We seriously considered re employing Ched Evans whilst he was technically a convicted rapist and hired Marlon King for instance.

By all accounts Steve is a reformed character and has been for quite a while and this book isn't about his former hooliganism. It would probably been a poor look if there had been the same event and turnout for either of his previous books but I really don't agree this particular event puts the club in a bad light.

Too busy looking for United stories from the Yorkshire Post, The Athletic and Examiner I suppose.

“Views my own”. :)

When his first book came out, I saw Cowens on a panel with Michael Ignatieff and the late Clement Freud at the Hay Festival and I asked him about this and can confirm it’s true.
I'm 50 years old and very little surprises me anymore.

But this did, and I experienced a moment of uncertainty about what the world is and what it's for.

Thank you.

Nice to see so many of a Blades persuasion in one place after the 18 months or so we’ve had. It’s clear that so many ex-Blades retain such an affinity with the club, even so many years after they left. Everyone who attended seemed to have a good time and fair play to CW, Harry and all the guests for showing up and spending so much time with fans, signing autographs and taking selfies.

None of the ‘untruths’ that may or may not have been uttered, had any bearing on the diabolical performance of the management team or players last year. Stubborn inability to change a flatlining formation, atrocious in-game management and substitutions, inconsistent treatment of players, turgid, defensive football, mardy, antagonistic interviews, awful, narrow recruitment and value for money, promised front foot attacking football, yet snuck out through a small cracked bathroom window etc etc. If the Prince told a few porky pies to Sky, I don’t see how it changes any of the above one bit.

Like I say, opinions

Wilder was an absolute gent tonight blades legend no doubt humble aswell

He Had some choice words about bettis & princey that can’t really be said on here after I grabbed him a pint at the bar

All I’ll say is that the hole in the training grounds roof was much bigger than we were led to believe and Big Slav has his work cut out
Did you ask CW why he crept out of the back door like a mutt that's pissed on the carpet?

Are you even a Blade if you didn’t attend this event and tell everyone on here or Twitter?

I didn’t go last night but would have liked to see and hear from so many great ex players. However, the Wilder love in is a bit over the top given the absolute shit show of tedious, boring, negative losing football he oversaw last season.

I think the willingness for so many popular ex players to want to be associated with the club, even at arms length like this is a good thing

As you know, I was prattling on about problems with the management a long time before it eventually fell apart. I think the 9 months of Wilder was just rank poor management.

But I genuinely wonder what it will take for people to let it go. Neither Wilder or the club will have it as good again. Let's remember that and support the new regime.

And you know when even I'm bored of talking about a subject it's been done to death! 😂😂

The amount of people who put a former manager above a club they've apparently supported all their life is beyond me.

I wish him no ill-will, but if he's going to events because he was our manager and then slagging the club off he can get to fuck.

I guarantee CW said absolutely nothing against the club to anyone at that event last night. What he says in confidence to his friends in private is up to him. He's no idiot.

Thanks for that, my thoughts exactly. As you know, I said much the same on shoutbox recently.

CW will have his say when he's allowed too and he feels it's the right time. Nothing has changed. Does he have a right too. Absolutely.

That is if Wilder has got anything to say, if the Prince had been telling porkies I think we would have heard about it by now.

These Wilder disciples just can't let it go probably most of the same crew who fawned over Kevin McCabe.

As regards Steve Cowans his past is in the past (a good 15 years) the only firm since the turn of the century has been SYP, but the woke cancel history culture is alive and thriving on this forum it would seem. They will be telling us he is Tommy Robinsons right hand man next, deary me.
