Wilder surely got to be in for the Palace job?
If I was palace chairman, a club that teeters close to relegation and watched Wilders carry on this year with his awful signings and persistent resignations and bitching in interviews, along with the on the pitch performance, let's just say he would have to interview VERY well if not perfect to even make a shotlist

I will be surprised if its not Terry or Lampard, can't see them attracting Rafa B, and they don't have a history of left field, relatively unknown (in the UK at the time )managers like Southampton Poch, Hassenhutl

All gone a bit quiet on this front, was hoping Nixon would be all over this or some other quality tabloid!
He's said there is noise from the Middle East but SJ is notoriously difficult to pin down to agree.

Do you really think a Premier club would consider appointing him?
After this season you could understand none of them being at all interested.
I think clubs and their directors/owners/etc are a damn sight more intelligent and knowledgeable of important matters off the pitch which are important to how well a club is run as well matters of finance, etc that all the pundits put together who thought "we shouldn't have sacked him" have no comprehension of let alone how relevant such matters are. Which just goes to show how fucking stupid and gullible so many of these pundits are.
In any event, looking at his transfer record, surely no club are going to give him money to spend like he had at the Lane and are going to want a lot more control over things. Not something I imagine CW would want.
He's more likely to find a team in the Championship. Although I would have thought, should one exist a team who could afford the wages he would accept, in the First Division would be more likely.
Excellent ! 👍
who is his assistant going to be?

Slobodan Milosevic

We shall see if he measures up. To me there are question marks over the amount of time passed since the Fulham era, the lack of the successful assistant manager and the size of the job. It feels more like a project than a polish up job.
The gung ho attacking style is a definite plus though after the last year of boring negative shite

We better be quick to get Slav signing...

My worry is that There will be more and more vacancies opening up as the season ends. We had the advantage of being ‘the only gig going’ for 2/3months.

Parker looking likely to leave also. Hodgeson retiring. Suddenly people have more options than before. So I’m hoping we don’t fumble this appointment at the last second and get left with the managerial dregs

I think Wilder to West Brom is a no brainer for them. Appleton or Wilder? Wilder! Slav or Wilder? Wilder. Why? Wilder's available, as is Slav, but I think we've sown up the Slav deal, or very close to it. West Brom may may a late approach but I can't see what they can offer over us, maybe a bigger transfer budget but they'll lose Periera and so much of their good play comes from him. We'll loose Berge of course, who is no where near as important to us as Periera is to them.

Baggies fans are under the impression it's Wilder. That will add some intrigue if we're both at the top end of the table!

Let's see which CW turns to the Hawthorns, the hungry, down to earth, forward thinker, who isn't scared of anyone or the moaning, "can't compete with these", arrogant shell of a man who despite several statements to never do, slinked out the back door of BL.

Whichever it is, I hope we absolutely paste them, home, away and in both cups.

WBA would be a big and not easy job given the current reliance on loans this season. Add to that the likelihood of Pereira leaving and the remaining squad is arguably worse than Utd's. It would certainly require some significant investment to turn them into promotion contenders IMHO.

I think it would be a fairly safe bet to say AK will join him and possibly Matt Prestridge - it will be interesting to see whether anyone else goes, especially Paul Mitchell.
