He was everywhere tonite, especially 1st half, but then again the whole team seemed to be energized.

Seems the spark/team spirit is back after watching that performance, fair to assume there was/is a reason behind it, and it having an effect on the entire team, not just 3 or 4 raising their game. You would think some would be worried re a new manager, some not care, and some think he us tge wrong choice, which again wouldn't explain that shift in attitude and performance

Maybe it is, but after 2 months and a record of Played 9 won 2 and lost 7, even allowing for time and a few games for everyone to realise CW had left, and get used to it, and Robinson coming back from injury, and others out injured, there was no sign in any of those games of anything like yesterdays performance.
Maybe and just maybe, after taking over he didn't want to change things, alienate players etc after all its tough for a manager of the U23s to walk in change the team and tactics, and perhaps there was pressure from the board not to change, its all guess work, its reasonable to suppose that if Hecky is on the shortlist and really does want to the job, he told the board, you let me manage, let me show you what I think we should be doing?

I think the fact that we scored early rather than conceding was the major difference. Before that we looked a bit ordinary again, but after the goal the confidence surged and even Enda looked good !

The big difference for me was that we pushed 10 yards further up the pitch, which meant that their playmakers had less time and space to thread through balls to their forwards.

I was in the Railway in Pudsey on the night that JR was shot.

Great pub, always busy except for that night when it was almost deserted.

Unfortunately it is now one of many long gone Pudsey pubs.

Well observed. The complete egocentric narcissistic tosspot. Probably spends all his time, composing, re-writing, and double checking who he slagged off the most last week, just so he can fairly distribute this weeks bile.
Other than that, seems a nice sort of bloke. (Given his post maritime service background anyway).
