Work permit issue apart could it be that we are going all out for Blessin but he wants to finish the season with Oostende? I know he said he was committed to their play-off campaign etc and that you shouldn't always believe the rumours but he didn't say he was 100% staying with Oost either.

I know, I'm clutching....

Firstly, it's not just Biggs is it, it's also probable leaks to The Star, Yorkshire Post, etc as they have all recently published articles similar. I think that we all know that they will appoint who they want, regardless of fans opinions, however that doesn't mean that the fans have to be happy clappers and not voice their own concerns and opinions on the matter.

Anyhow, back to Heckingturd, you must be one of the fans that won't have any issues hiring this previously highly successful manager then, that has had more sackings than promotions, etc?
So they are now talking to the local press after freezing them out?
Your reasoning is flawed on many levels, it’s entirely lacking in credible information because you know nothing and you resort to just make stuff up when challenged. You lack the basic ability to reason and distinguish facts from supposition.
It’s also worth highlighting at this point what a copper bottomed bellend you are as a person based on your continued attack on a club employee who’s been doing a great job with the academy. A man who’s trying to secure the future of our club through our young players and has been doing his best with the shit show he’s inherited from the previous manager. He’s done nothing to deserve your pathetic comments and bile, aside to agreeing to step in to try and help us limp into the close season.

Heres a prediction. When they don’t appoint him, you’ll claim it’s because of the back lash. Bearing in mind the backlash less than 50 people shouting at clouds on Twitter, when in actual fact he was never being seriously considered in the first place.

Well said, sir. The nasty comments and disrespectful nicknames for PH are totally out of order. The guy has been terrific with the U23s, comes across as a really decent man, but faced an impossible task after CW's departure.

Well said that man.

Do I want Heckingbottom to be our next permanent manager? no, I don't but do I want him to stay and finish the fantastic job he has been doing with the U23's.....the amount of vitriol towards the guy is embarrassing to the extent I wouldn't blame him if he pissed off altogether.....

I genuinely didn't believe Heckingbottom would even be a contender when appointed as interim manager. I'm worried now that he's looking the likely man to take the position. It's the east & cheap option to employ a 'yes man' following Wilders reign.

I'm getting fed up with this ownership and I backed them during the Wilder fiasco.

Why, you don’t know anything yet, so what’s changed? What makes you believe the local press have an inside track on this? What evidence do you have that they have any more information than we do?

Just to support my alternate position to yours, I have Biggs and Shield both putting out their whines and grumbles about the board not engaging with them. One of them attempted a hatchet piece based on a letter to him from a nobody with no current relevance to our club aside from being a trusted employee of the former owner, in order to attack our current one. The other openly moaned about the local journos who were sucking up to the board and putting out favourable stories to gain favour.
Incidentally both of these examples are the guys who now apparently have the ear of someone on the inside.
Or could they simply be continuing to whip up discontent against a board and owner who has been effectively snubbing them?

Hecky does seem a decent bloke and has done well with U23s, but has been clueless since taking over 1st team
.He's continued to play the same players that have got us into this mess and claimed no other options
Big mistake not binning Lunny quickly enough or dropping Fleck and Norwood from an awful and ineffective midfield
McG ,Osborn and anyone from U23s would been a better option to try
its one thing coaching good young players already at the club
it's a different thing trying to manage a first team squad that's shell shocked and don't want to play for the club
without making a few waves, maybe he's just too nice a guy
But I Think were in trouble if/when he gets job full time

He’s right, there are no other options. You can’t just parachute the u23s in. Not only is it a logistical issue with the bubbles, but it wrecks what has been a positive season to throw them under the bus in the PL. Instead of them having a great boost to their confidence and progression you’re likely to be damage a lot of them by putting them under the huge spotlight of the media when the team is entirely dysfunctional. They need a stable environment to be blooded into, just look at how Brewster and Ramsdale faired and they had far more experience and probably ability than those you are suggesting.
So aside to potentially wrecking some of the kids, who can he have brought in while trying to ensure we’re not getting pumped 5,6,7 nil each week? I genuinely can’t see any alternate options.

I think that there a few reasons why this is likely to happen: -

1) The owner recently stated that united world were not investing in their clubs next season and was the time for consolidation.
2) I believe that Blessin is the choice of the owner and his sidekick, but won't be able to get this across the line.
3) I also believe that Heckingturd will be the choice of the players (and possible CW, as I think he is still in the background giving advice on this, I maybe incorrect, but just a gut feeling?).

Why would wilder still be in the background giving advise on a job he walked away from?

Just a thought.

After the euphoria of last 4.5 years I just seem to think, the new manager will be an underwhelming choice.

The last manager was an underwhelming choice when appointed and look how that turned out!

I must admit l haven’t seen the United World consolidation plan. Do you have a link?

I posted the Star article in the twats thread earlier.
It’s Biggs and it’s the Star.
On other pages, have a look at this for the latest up to date info on the team at Filbert Street on that glorious day.

The Bradders one is particularly informative as to where he is now. I’m sure he went to Norwich but it just tells you who he played for before :)

Hi. Idiot here.
Just called in to put forward the name "hiccupburpbottom" as it seems to have been overlooked on previous posts regarding stupid variations on heckys name.
Shall we just call him Fartarse and have done with it ?

The board literally said he's stepping in until end of season

Seems to be a little bit of traction on Heckingbottom. It can’t be conceivable really, but if that’s the case we must be in major difficulties off the pitch.

'Throw them under the bus in the PL ? Each and every one of those lads will be chomping at the bit to get a chance to play first team football. They've dreamed of that moment and trained their whole life for the opportunity. I can assure you there isn't one of them or their families who would view it that way!

Im not advocating putting 3 or 4 in per game but Hackford and Idaye have already played so giving them another couple of chances before the end of the season will build on that...and who knows they might actually do well.

The poster I was replying to was calling out us continuing to play our current midfield. The manager should have been dropping Lunny, Fleck and Norwood. That means starting in the PL the most inexperienced midfield ever put out. Is that seriously what you are advocating and being good for their development? How many do you think they’d ship each game?

Flatulent_Bob i think we need an article from the athletic to balance perspective now.

Start typing son!

So, to recap :

Heckythump has got the job.
We’re having a fire sale of players
We’ll raise millions even though most of them are shite.
We’re buying players for other United World clubs.
We aren’t investing in the squad.
The old Plc shares are worthless now.
McCabe is blocking off entrance to the Kop.
BIFA are selling Christmas cards to buy the forrins out.
We’ve no money because the parachute money is paying the mortgage
Biggs will no doubt be on the ball as usual

That everything?

Cheap option yes man.

Let's not start calling Heckingbottom names eh? Whilst he wouldn't be my choice he's in caretaker role and isn't a bad guy. I'm sure he's trying too...

Not read the article but could Biggs be saying that out of the main few mentioned for the job. Jokanovic, blessin, Heckingbottom, tindall. Then I can see why Heckingbottom could be 2nd choice. Other two haven't even finished a full season in management.
