If he gets the same resource as Chris got then yes, it's a disaster, because there's not a man on this planet that could replicate Chris' success in the same circumstances.

This is such a bad day for us as a football club.

The magic that laced our success over the last 5 years can never be replicated. Magic.

This isn't a successful manager leaving and causing some upset, this is different. Totally different.

The finality of it, in this manner, is choking.

Success is one thing, but with one of us at the helm, setting records, recreating the rule book on formation, rampaging through the championship and then the Prem, unbeaten in London...it was different,on another level. It got into your soul. It's what got me drawn back in, it's what had people outside the stadium just soaking up the atmosphere because they couldn't get a ticket - against Chesterfield. It's what got us a smart looking shop in meadowhall that I was proud to take the kids in and buy them blades shirts, proud to tell them I've got Chris's shirt when he played with us. History coming alive and setting football alight again.

Sorry to hijack your post, but this is so much more than losing a manager. I cant realistically imagine being lit up like we have done in my lifetime again. I just cant. And I'm 42.

Probably take a break from visiting the website again for a while. Everything red and white seems emptier and with more regret than it ever should have, all seems so preventable.

I find it as mind boggling as anyone but we exist after Wilder, Wilder isn't an immortal, if he stayed until he reached retirement age that's another 10-20 years, not until the we're all living on Mars and we turn into a zero gravity handball team.

Some seriously worrying reactions to the inevitable that has admittedly happened sooner than we'd all wish.

If you don't want to undo everything Wilder has done, then the fans have got to back the club. Wilder going doesn't mean we haven't still got a decent squad, are financially alright with the parachute money etc etc.

I know exactly how you're feeling. It's hard to turn your back completely when it's been a massive part of your life for so long, but when they go and do something as monumentally stupid as this you wish you could.

This has zapped me completely though. I'd like to turn around and say I'm done, I want to walk away, but like an abusive relationship I'll probably be back watching us get battered tomorrow.

Great example of footy fans putting 2 and 2 together and getting 4.26 million. Howe wouldn't survive a week in the wastelands of the north. Fucking Tindall, I thought the made up news of neil Lennon was depressing but this is many times worse.

How is cheque book Eddie going to do anything with no cheque book? How's Tindall going to do anything when he's never done anything, and just presided over a dog shit, expensively assembled Bournemouth side? Answers on a postcard.

P.S: Do the morons running SUFC watch football?

Least its sounding like only till the end of the season. I don’t think things can get any worse in the pitch

We’re down anyway, does it really matter who is manager for the last 10 matches?

No half decent manager is going to take the job just to add a relegation to his cv.
Why waste money though, just keep Heckingbottom in charge?

You're right of course, so why not give Hecky the gig? He's had a bit more recent experience than Tindall.

I agree, until there is an announcement we’re guessing. Maybe Heckingbottom wants to stay with the u23s and had no interest in being a manager again even on a temporary basis.

Have a like for zero gravity handball team

Jason Tindall feels like the ultimate “yes man” - what a joke, I’d rather have Mike f’n Tindall

If the thinking is JT then does that say that EH has been asked and said no fucking chance but my old number two is available. FFS...hope this is a wind up

Just leave it to the youth staff, why does Heckingbottom need to have Tindall come in and hold his hand? I’ve read on Twitter that Bettis is mates with Tindall and if that’s case it’s just another similarity to what was happening under McCabe. Old Boys club.

Does it ?

He could have another job and has forced the issue

It could be that he has been told Berge will have to be sold

It could be anything and we probably wont find out the details.

I just want fans to give the new manager a chance( even if it is through gritted teeth)
I thought we all knew that Berge will be sold.

CW has even said that himself.

So what has this fella achieved during his managerial career to warrant the job?

I’m guessing at not a lot
He’ll be relatively cheap
He’ll be a yes man, having said yes to a D of F and that he’ll be the coach not the manager and that he’ll have to work with next to nowt next season

Ticks all the Princes boxes then

We aren’t financially alright tho

Paul Heckingbotham, Neil Lennon and now Tindall. Just when you think it cannot get any worse.

Till end of season, and the Michael fukin Appleton
