Clean breaks of the lower leg/ankle tend to be far less painful than serious ligament injuries. I’ve had both.

Don't you mean Diane Abbott in for the rest of the season.Christ how bad is our luck at the moment? looks like Diane Abbott will be out for the rest of the season
Lovely stories about everyone’s broken bone history. The X-ray earlier in this post is a comminuted fracture or both the tibia and fibula. Egan’s foot would have been wobbling around and he would have been in considerable pain. Without any crowd in the stadium it’s likely that a break like that would have been pretty loud and easily picked up on television. He wouldn’t have left the ground on crutches as Wilder reported.
I agree, he would not have been allowed to put any weight on it at all.Lovely stories about everyone’s broken bone history. Priti Patel looked at the xray and said his ankle was broken in eleventy fivety places
Surely we would be more likely to have hear something if it was a serious injury requiring surgery or something? Is it just me that finds it a bit odd we dont know the extent of these issues yet? My pessimism is starting to kick in
I did the same, I broke mine at 22, went to the hospital and they said it was a sprain. Went back a year later to get it checked and it was broken. I’ve had 2 operations to shave the bone and stop it grinding but it still hurts most days. Mornings are worse. It’s caused issues with my back and other leg through compensating as well.Came here for Egan news and reading injury swap stories.
I've got a dodgy ankle from when I was young and few years ago had it xray'd as it was causing me issues. Doctor examined my xray and said when did you break your foot. I said I never broke my foot. Showed me the X Ray and quite clearly can see a crack in my foot about inch and half long that had healed and he said probably about 8 or 9 years ago this happened. Said this was probably causing my ankle issues as its made your foot weak at this part. Never knew I had broken it although I did wonder as my foot has a ridge at this point.
Broke my finger right hand 2nd from little finger whilst in goal saving a point blank shot and it hurt like hell, needed operation to repair it and still have to be careful now as it hurts if I catch it because part of the bone is missing. Doctor told me to stop playing in goal as if I damage it again might have to lose my finger. Yet somehow I broke or fractured my foot and didnt even know about it.
Stop being rational you weirdoSurely we would be more likely to have hear something if it was a serious injury requiring surgery or something?
I was thinking John Barrowman but John Inman probably works just as well......@Trafford and @Kenilworth will attest to the fact that I’m more John Inman than John Egan
Its bigger than Jimmy Floyd Hasselbainks' massive bowling ball arseYeah but she has a phat ass so all in the room accepted the diagnosis, no questions asked.
I'm just trying to imagine how gutted I'd be, getting ready to play in a five-a-side tournament, only to find out that my team's keeper has broken his finger pulling his socks up and won't be able to play. I'm not sure I'd be able to look you in the eyeP.S. For an encore, having missed a season with the broken leg, I broke my finger (pulling up my socks in the changing rooms before my first game back in a pre-season five-a-side tournament) and missed another season (I was a goalkeeper so a broken finger isn’t ideal), and then on my third game back the following season I saved a close range piledriver with my eyeball and lost the sight in one eye (thankfully I regained my vision after a week). The following season I retired from football.
Egan had his leg amputated below the knee last night, but he was back in training this morning and should be ok to play against Fulham once the anti-biotics kick in.
Lego bricks are an evil creation tooPain???
I once stood on an upturned plug. That's this thread finished

But at least Subbuteo players have the decency to break as they sneakily attack your foot from underneath.Lego bricks are an evil creation too
Perhaps he'd just got the builders bill ?Well he was at home Sunday because his wife posted a picture of new cinema room and he was in the picture
