Fleck and Egan

Agreed.

I know he's a tough irish lad an all that but he was relatively calm for someone with a clean break to the ankle.
I broke my metatarsal a number of months back. I personally didn't find the broken bone anywhere near as painful as I expected. It was more of a dull pain and a constant throbbing for a good while during recovery than anything else.

Give me a broken bone over a sharp pain like toothache any day of the week.

That last bit is not an invitation by the way, I'd rather have neither!

Broke my nose twice and a toe.

Little pain on any of them.

Not a foot, ankle, or leg obviously but bone breaks aren't always overly painful depending where and what they are.

Agree on the toothache and also had excruciating pain from a lower back muscle problem.

Got my humerus snapped in half and didn't feel a thing. Even picked my flappy arm up to demonstrate to the paramedic that it was broken (she told me not to do that again 😂). Once the adrenaline rush subsided though, bloody hell. Got through quite a lot of gas & air and Oramorph that night.

So our 4 best players and most sellable assets... JOC, Egan, Fleck and Berge are all long term injured which might mean they can't leave in the summer after relegation.... every cloud....
It sounds a bit like a footballing version of the movie 'Misery'. Manager Chris 'Annie Wilkes' Wilder just won't let then leave!

Anyone know the latest on Berge? Surely not far away now

I snapped my ankle 5 years ago, it shattered into a few pieces. I didn't get a picture of the break but managed to get this one with the plates and screws.
It is more painful now in the cold weather than it was then.
When I did it the adrenalin kicked in and lasted for ages. Medic told me to take some paracetemol, no gas or air.
Amazing the pain the body can cope with at times.
I am usually one to oan and groan too about a jab or toothache!!

In the hospital waiting room (an hr after the break and with just paracetemol) I was joking with people and listening to Walsall v Utd on the radio.
So Egan might not necessarily have been in huge pain.

You can see the feint outline of my legs, which are certainly not athletic!- but they are not the 'large' legs seen on the x-ray posted on here earlier. They cannot be Egan's legs.

Fleck rushed to hospital.

I'm sure that was in wilders post match interview. So it's an accident or a covid, if that's what wilder actually said..
Don't think he's dead because his Mrs was posting mirror selfies in her designer gear on Instagram earlier

This is the worry tho innit, not many players come back 100% as they were before a long term injury.
True, I am oldish (57) so the body doesn't recover like it used to, but I tried jogging again a year after I broke it and had to stop, just too painful after a few hundred yards.
Loads of sprained ankles as a kid playing football though and trying to 'run them off'. That probably led to it being weak now and a reason I went over on it too easily. I think we see a similar thing now with Kane, his ankles are like glass and I think they will haunt him for the rest of his career.
Bad breaks, like Coutts, are so difficult to come back from.
Hoping Egan's isn't as bad as some are saying.
