I remember Luton Shelton coming on as a sub in one of my first ever home games not long after we were relegated from the PL, don't think we've had a player as fast or faster since?

Didn't know he's Jamaica's top scorer!

I had the privilege of chatting to him a couple of times back in 2007. He was a very kind friendly man, softly spoken at times. Although he didn't play too many times for us, he did make an impact and is still etched into my memory to this day.

As a tribute, I'm wearing my Le Coq 2007/8 shirt today (my favourite United shirt to wear as it is silky smooooooth and long sleeved to keep me warm) in honour of Luton and not forgetting Ugo and Gary who were in the same squad.

I've had him on facebook for a long while now, saw the monumental support his family was giving him throughout his illness. Looked like they made his last years the most comfortable they could.

Me too pal.. Luton was one of our players, admittedly only for a brief spell, but we should still show some respect..

Yes there will be ..................all happened a bit quick to organise summert I think? Shame, for Luton, i remember his performance at Old Trafford, what a game, he was unstoppable but of course foul him (heinze) and then get away wi it because this is Manure. The clearest penalty I've even seen. Take care young man, loved your goal against City and it was a pity you wer'nt around longer. But, us Blades will all meet in heaven. God bless Luton and UTB!!!!!

How we never got a penalty at OT we'll never know. Very sad though. Didn't realise it was 2 years.
