Apparently he's walked....

I don’t think he’ll walk till end of January then he can say board haven’t backed him so I’m off, reputation intact.

That won't protect his reputation.

Zero backing in January 2021 doesn't change change the spunked > £100m or embarassing sequence of results throughout 2020.

He'll find work but I'd be hugely surprised if it's in the Premier League.

Christ. One bad season and he gets all this type of bollox aimed at him. Short term memories people.

We'd probably be in League 1, let alone the Championship without Wilder and Knill.

Last season was one of the best in our modern history.

One bad season, very coincidentally aligned with a horrible pandemic.

I'll be devastated if Wilder and Knill leave for any reason. Part of the furniture in my opinion, crucial cogs in our football club.

yes theres been mistakes in the transfer market but if chris had been able to bring the players in he wanted i.e robinson eze watkins cash maupay etc we would have stayed in the premier league we simply havent got the money at present to be a premier league club

I know you’ve only got 2 points in the last 60. I uunderstand you’ve scored only 8 goals in 17 games. I realise that you are already 12points off safety having played more games and having a worse goal difference. But you always claim that Yorkshire folk are not fickle people and stick together. Not what I see on here. Fighting like rats in a sack and wanting to get rid of the best manager you’ve had in years. the level of flouncing histrionics is off the scale. Remember It’s only a game, there are more important things going on at present. Happy New Year
As bad as this season has been we've yet to have a run of 10 straight defeats, scoring once and conceding 24 in the process. Any ideas whose record that is?

Still in job tonight. Gone away to

Was from somebody who always thinks they know something but tbf to him wasn't the only person who said it. Like I said was put out for people to have to opinions on it and maybe somebody confirm the rumours or put em to bed. From now until the end of the season it certainly won't be the last romour we have to listen to will

Not got a dog pal always thought about getting one tho just never actually took the plunge
Maybe you should instead of writing shit just to cause more harm than good. Blades win and lose together! Utb. Just my opinion it is a forum .

No chance, barely any manager ever resigns because they forfeit any further pay!

He will be our manager in the Championship next season.

I think we were heading to league 2 to be fair. He's transformed the club in a short time . I'm sure he deserves to try again next season just like Norwich have with Farke. They had a terrible finish losing their last 10 games scoring only once. But they seem to have re grouped this season and hopefully we can next season . Utb

They maybe mistakes this season ,but in the long run they still may come good within the next couple of years . Utb

Unfortunately it's a results business (a quote often used by CW himself) and I couldn't really take any argument seriously that counters how disappointing 2020 has been in terms of results, performances and recruitment.

You've jumped to conclusions re: gratitude and respect for what CW/AK have done. I actually would prefer they stayed on at least for one year in the Championship. There's nobody better available and they've earnt the right based on what they've done for the club.

Your silly then mate. I've just got one, only had to send him 2k and he's sending me 200k back. Winner winner.

Ever reckon an African prince has genuinely done it, for a laugh? I sometimes wonder (to the tune of 20k so far)

More chance of Wilder walking than trying a different formation ;)

Spot on.
I cannot believe what I am reading on here and from some long time posters as well.
Predicting we will do a Sunderland and we wouldn't even beat Wednesday, we will lose to Bristol Rovers in the Cup, don't sign any players in the transfer window its a lost cause.
I certainly wouldn't like want some posters in the trenches with me.

I always thought United fans got behind the team no matter what. I guess its a blessing in disguise we are not allowed in at the moment, because by going on here the atmosphere in the ground would be toxic.

Don't get me wrong I'm disappointed and Wilder has made mistakes but lets face it we were punching well above our weight last season and this season was always going to be a struggle. I didn't think it would be this bad though.
We have been a bit unlucky we should have beaten WBA, and Burnley we had alot of possession against Crystal Palace and for all their pace and strength we didn't get over run despite having a patched up side.
We will probably be relegated but I don't think we will finish bottom.
If we are relegated I feel our current squad is with 2 or 3 tweaks and we keep most of the players, I can not see any Premiership teams being interested in any of them with the possible exception of Berge and maybe O'Connell.
Then this squad is more than good enough to bounce back first

Is now the time to resurrect the 'he's leaving Friday' joke?

He won’t walk. Anyone though still using the look where he took us from bs needs to understand most Blades thought we finally had something good going.
Well a couple of seasons in the prem with this one being terrible when you look at what Villa are doing under Smith who many on here said would get sacked it’s a bit shit isn’t it.
It’s not just Wilder though it’s as though we are not allowed to sign any really good players. Bloody shame as Wilder is a good manager but the squad is just crap
