Apparently he's walked....

To be fair, he has been proven to be a mercenary when it comes to renewing his contract whilst his stock was improving. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he has money at the heart of what he does.
Someone offers you more money for good performance. Would you say “no thanks, I might be shit next year”? Didn’t think so.

That ain't how it went down, and you full well know it.

Suggesting he could leave for a better offer if not offered better terms is more like it. More than once.
How do you know how his contract talks went down?

I don't recall him suggesting he would leave for better money, must have missed that interview.

If he has walked (which I doubt). I really wish him well and hope he chooses this his time out to relax and rethink. I must say the last few months seem to have physically aged our Chris. I do hope he doesn’t jump straight back into another job.
When the mug who replaces him, takes us down and ultimately gets the sack. Here’s hoping Chris is fully refreshed and full of enthusiasm for taking us back up again.

Where is Stegosaurus when you need him (or her) to give us the insider knowledge?!
He is currently resting his great football knowledge. If he spends too much time in front of a screen he get an headache and can not focus.

That is why he makes a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes.

Prick
I don't agree with alot of what FMBlade1 says but I wouldn't make it personal.
No issue with fmblade but that post sounded more like someone taking the piss out of our club. It was a personal post at CW.
I would assume fmblade couldn't give a flying about my thoughts on him or his posts

I hope he hasn't walked, but I do think he needs help, and a fresh eye and experience could help him. Not sure who is suggest, but there must be someone who Wilder respects who could give him an insight and a way to break this cycle.

Some speculation below about what he said at FT. Any lipreaders in the house? Some on this Twitter thread reckon he said "I can't take any more of this bollocks man" or something similar.

There is a lip reader in the house but he'll need a better video than that.
