Wilder wants 5

Also on international duty is Darragh Lenihan, who we know we’ve had a long term interest in.

Looking at the Welsh squad and what we still need, Chris Gunter and Connor Roberts are both in it, so too Ben Cabango. I know Gunter hasn’t been linked, but he’d be an upgrade on Freeman as backup RWB and is available on a free. Ethan Ampadu looks likely to head out on loan again too for this season.

Clearly putting the finishing touches on a season loan for Bale.
Don't forget England u21's have fixtures too...

Sessegnon and Brewster called up 👀

I would be seriously chuffed with a Transfer window of:
Brewster (Loan)
Sessegnon (Loan)
Gunter (Free)
Lenihan
Swift

Some serious business that and probably only a £15m outlay in fees

Suomi_Blade just wondering what you think of Joel Pohjanpalo? OI know we've not been linked and he'll probably go to another German team but was just curious - just in case!

I've thought as soon as Gunter was released, and have suggested it on here, that I wouldn't be at all surprised if we went in for Gunter as cover for Baldock. He may be 31 now as of July, but he's played in some big games over his career and with 96 international caps to his name, that's not to be sniffed at. I'm sure we could do worse for cover. He's the record cap holder I see for Wales.

He’s much less of a direct goal threat than Freeman or to some extent Baldock is, and doesn’t really have quick feet to drive on with the ball, but he’s solid defensively, can cross well given space, has a decent engine on him, and should be more than capable to do the triangle passing to help manufacture an overload. The obvious downside is his age and the reality he won’t be pushing Baldock for a start. But we can’t expect that for every single position frankly. He’d be a safe enough 1-year deal.

I've never heard of him (as is increasingly the case for any suggestions as the windows moves on) and that surname will pose a challenge for a good chant... That said, he's not a winger and any centre forward from Helsinki must have decent Finnish, so it's a yes from me. ✅

Very underrated comment 👆

RWB - bogle for 7 or 8 mill? Cash for 12 mill? Gunter on a year deal?

LWB - sessegnon on loan? Jay da Silva? Rico Henry? Brentford would probably take 10 million for him and he’s probably as good as cash but on the left side.

Can’t see us getting a centre half as we’ve just signed up Rodwell and Jags.

RCM - Buendia 16-18 mill? Josh Da Silva has always really impressed me at Brentford. Ruben Loftus cheek on loan? Swift?

ST - Dennis/Meite/Brewster on loan?/Watkins?

All in all I’d like 6 in a perfect world.

RWB LWB RCM RCM ST ST

Outgoing: Bryan, Lunny, Moore, Callum Robinson

Our squad would be:

Ramsdale
Wes Fod
Verrips

Baldock
Bogle
Basham
Rodwell
Egan
Jags
JOC
Robinson
Stevens
Henry

Norwood
Berge
Fleck
Osborn
Buendia
Swift

Dennis
Mcburnie
Mousset
Brewster
Sharp
Mcgoldrick

Now that would be a great window. Then address RCB and CB cover in January and then we look very strong in all areas.

Sorry mate, but this is fantasy stuff. We have a decent shout of Brewster, but Buendia, Dennis and Henry would amount to £50m ish. We know there's going to be two loans likely and the permanents will probably be £3-6m ish per player or frees - that's my thoughts based on what Wilder has said. I might be wrong but doubt it.

Rico Henry is the best in the Championship, but Enda Stevens (up to lockdown) was outstanding and his attacking output is solid.
It's RWB where we need to strengthen.

Not that these are going to happen, nor any judgement. All Guesses, some Vaguely realistic, some Idealistic, some based on rumours and some a hunch...

Wing Back - Connor Roberts / Clarke Oduor / Pedro Pereira (loan) / Jayden Bogle / Ryan Manning

CM - John Swift / Beundia / Niclas Elliason / Jed Wallace

ST - Brewster (loan), Bashuayi (loan), Meite, Dennis / S Dembele

Well under wraps these 5 targets, Sky transfer centre this afternoon went through every club and had all the linked moves for them all apart from one club!

For us they came up with this impressive link - "Arsenal v Sheff Utd in October is a target for a return for fans back in the stadium".

Seriously WTF has that got to do with transfers.

The twats!

Wilder is reported to have said to expect an ‘explosion’ of signings next week.

I wonder if that was an unconscious hint that the Bin Ladens have provided some additional finance for this seasons signings? 😉

Poor old bin Laden's must be gutted. They spend decades building a business empire only for one black sheep......

I wonder if their is a fine tailoring business in Vienna still struggling to sell suits in the Hitler herringbone

Doesn't appear to be doing 'Hugo Boss' much harm ?
Although you need to understand that herringbone is "so last season"

He's such a tease:

"He says that although United fans will have to wait a little longer to see who will be wearing a red and white shirt next season, he believes it will be worth the wait. "
Where has this quote come from... 😲👏

edit: Nevermind I'm an idiot and didn't see the link in your post! 😂

S24SU on Monday: Lets be reyt, there’s no more signings. HRH out, all of em outttttt

Wilder on Tuesday: I want 5 in

S24SU on Tuesday night: If it’s not 8, shoes off

This place is relatively sane compared to Blades Twitter... Lol.
