I'm not talking about value i'm talking about taking us forward.
Berge will not recoup the fee we paid based on his SUFC performances
Robinson will go for less
Freeman will go for less
McBurnie will really go for less
Moose probably holds
Osborn hard to say
My view on the other hand is glass half full - yes they haven't pulled up that many trees in the Prem but they are still better players for it than before we signed them. The experience they will have gained is still important so therefore I think their values can't have depreciated that much if at all.
How do you work that one out?The best players in that list are three of the 4 cheapest.
Think it's unfair to say Freeman hasn't stepped up. Only reason he's not playing is because our player of the year plays his positionThat's the bit I disagree with. I think especially with Sander (agree early days) he is not better than before we signed him, he can't be based on his performances so far. He was the star for Ghent, one of the most highly rated players of his age but has so far looked nothing like the player he was in Belgium. I am really want the lad to just take off but I can't see it right now. Maybe our system is all wrong for him and he needs to take Noroods place? Jury out.
McBurnie/Robinson/Freeman are just expensive Championship players that haven't stepped up.

Freeman, championship sides know is high end quality. He goes for pretty much what we paid for him.
Robinson goes for the same or more.
Mousset roughly what we paid if not more now he’s actually scored a few goals.
Osborn would go for about what we paid.
Any side in the championship awash with money. So any of the relegated lot, Fulham certainly if they lost Mitrovic. You’ve got a 20 goal a season striker who’s 6 foot 3, it’s a potential promotion clincher.Tell me one club that will pay £17m for McBurnie.
Fleck does not play the same position. Freeman is very much in the Duffy mould as a no.10, Wilder (rightly) has stabalised the midfield with a flat 3 this season. I do like Freeman but he isn't going to fit in with a flat 3, he's too attack minded.

So why was he signed?
Didn't spend the farm on him and he didn't make it. No big deal.Robinson £6m
He's 24 and he has scored some important goals this seasonMcBurnie £17m
Great player if we can get him to Wilder fitnessMoose £9m
Meh. You get what you pay for. Decent coverFreeman £5m
Needs a pre season but has something to prove with that price tag, I'll grantBerge £20m
Really can't argue with that. Done a solid job when called onOsborn £3m
Okay but has he produced or been a game changer in any of his appearances? It’s a bad signing.Because he's an option from the bench when chasing a game and going more offensive, simple as that really.
Mitrovic is most likely to go abroad to a top European club tbhIf Fulham don't go up we should offer a swap deal then. Mitro is on a different level to McBurnie.
Palace? Set up the goal.Okay but has he produced or been a game changer in any of his appearances? It’s a bad signing.
A saved shot is setting up a goal. It’s new to me but I suppose you can have it. £6m....Palace? Set up the goal.

He quite literally set it up. He worked himself into the position and had a crack knowing full well the ball was in an area where it could be partied into danger.A saved shot is setting up a goal. It’s new to me but I suppose you can have it. £6m....

So he was signed with good intentions (like they all are). But for £6m he doesn’t even play and when he comes on he doesn’t change a game. It’s not a good signing. When Duffy shot himself in the foot we need a no.10.
Wilder went on record as saying there will be times when we go with the old system of last season but generally in the Prem we needed more midfiled support due to the quality of the opposition. Wilder to my knowledge has yet to employ the no.10 this season so hence Freeman is not starting games.
I actually think he's a good player but odds are he won't play in this system so I expect him to be sold, probably to Leeds who would use him in their system.

Made things happen in the second half against Chelsea too, he was one of the main reasons we pulled that back.
What do you expect him to do if we are playing a flat 3 in midfield?
