Heard Blackwell spouting off on Radio Sheffield yesterday about bringing in 14 new players for next season during the summer
This season has been a joke
Does this mean that we have to put up with the same sh!te next season
Something has to be done to make the board understand that he is not wanted.....or perhaps we are not that bothered
As I've posted before the only way McCabe and Birch will understand is to boycott these last three home games or else Blackwell WILL be in charge next season

cheap as chips aint the problem ................ its McScrooge.

Lets hope that this season was a one off and now we've cut wages to a level that McC is happy with we can have 'Blades players' in the squad not loanees.

That would help the fans by having a 'team' we can focus on. At the moment if you sent the squad for a walk up the moor I bet most of us would walk past them without being able to name them.

Also can we get back to football like Blackies first season here?

This seasons been disasterous but at least Brian the Blade is due £50 quid from that moron on Radio Sheffield Giddings!!

I wish I could say what I want to say, but Blackwell is going nowhere, he's above relegation, he's keeping costs down and he panders to what is asked of him.

Premiership is lucrative as a long term investment, but short term championship is steady, doable and better.

Last enjoyable time to watch were the play-off games against Preston last year and those two games came out of the blue and were such a contrast to what we were and still are watching.

If I'm honest, the thought of Blackwell rebuilding a squad from scratch worries me more than the crap football we'll have to endure if he is still in charge.

It's a big, big job on at the Lane next season and I think it would be difficult for any manager, never mind Kevin Blackwell. I'm not saying he's the worst manager around because he has had to deal with difficult circumstances this season, but for me he's not the man to do the job that is required here next season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us involved in a relegation battle next season if the rebuilding is done by Blackwell.

Hey, at least he is planning, even if the plan based on current evidence will be to stick his fingers in his ears and shout "La la la la, not listening to you, poo face" as loud as he can.

It's difficult to care any more, to be honest.

They have ripped my heart out of the club. And it seems it is going to be a very long time before they have a chance of getting it back.

Thank you, Kevins. I, for one, will not get fooled again.

Well if it the case that he will be here next season and he really is going to start a reprofiling then I for one am prepared to give him a chance, and by a chance, I don't mean "until October and if we aren't streaking away with the league he should go", I mean for the whole of next season.

Next season could be make or break for Blackwell and I think it would be great if he pulled it off. If he doesn't make a good fist of it and if he doesn't produce a team that we are proud of and that we can relate to and feel they are our lads, then he should go.

He certainly won't be able to say anything other than that it will be his team

My worry if (hopefully not) he stays is who the he'll is going to want to come and play for us? I remember that bollocks they were spouting about only briniging players in that are equal or better than what we have got, that hasn't really been the case has it. If his budget is to be cut again next season is he gong to have to openly admit to bringing in players with less quality than we have got (although where he is going to find a worse footballer than Andy Taylor I don't know).
On the plus side they might actually be our players. This suonds strange but I would rather watch a team of our own players and some from the youth sides struggle in a delegation battle tham have a team of jobbers from other clubs in mid table obscurity. At least we would actually have our own team then.
Still think the sooner we get rid the better.

I can't believe the apathy displayed on here!
McCabe and Blackwell have took off you shirt and pants and hung them out to dry and the majority on here couldn't give a sh!t
You lot deserve Blackwell, his loan players and the sh!te he's brought in like France, Stewart, Taylor etc
I can't believe that you would put up with another season of utter garbage that man has served up.
Every season to me is one less to watch the Blades and I for one will not go to another game as long as that clown is in charge!
Perhaps Paul Walker is right Unitedites are morons!

Don't confuse apathy with an understanding that Blackwell will be manager next season whether we get hot under the collar or not.

The last thing I want is for the fans to hound out another manager - that would be moronic!

Whilst ever the fans have your attitude Blackwell will be there next season
You might think its ok
I personally set my sights higher than accepting mediocrity, sh!te football and a manager thats arrogant, self centred and full of his own self importance.
Its not hounding out another manager it would be replacing Blackwell with a manager capable of maximising the best out of the players, believes in good football and aspires to take the Blades to the Premier Division.

Blackwell Planning For Next Season

Does that mean he didn't plan or this season? Of course not, he knew just what he was working with and he should have stopped bleating about it and got on with it. Don't tell me that Superblade, the best chairman in the world EVER, didn't sit down with old brown nose and tell him that he'd have sod all to spend, that he'd be having to sell a couple and that it was all OK because no matter what, his job would be safe and if the fans got upset well tough, they'd get over it, they always do.

Pair of pricks together, McCabe's no Blade, just an opportunist with a huge pile of cash who wanted to feel loved, so he fed the gullible fans a load of bullshit about his 5 year plan and some of you fell for it. (Some of us didn't mind you, and no it doesn't feel good saying I told you so now). You're a businessman first and foremost, stop trying to come across as one of the lads, you're no better or worse than any other chairman, maybe just a bit more full of crap but the unforgiveable thing for me is what you've done to the fans. You've ripped the soul out of what was one of the staunchest bunch of supporters anywhere. Always been a rough and ready bunch us Blades, but you with all your spin and your spineless manager have killed something that was special. For that alone I will always despise you.

As to our tactical genius well stop whining, you knew full well what you had to work with, you failed last season and you've failed this. We have a weaker squad so either make the most of it or piss off, you won't be missed you whiny twat.

Club going nowhere at the moment, pretty much like the majority of other clubs. It's a dying game unless you're one of the chosen few so let's not think it's just us. Almost every club's in debt, the product's woeful and some of you still think we should be building a team around Nick Montgomery. Dear oh dear, how far have we fallen.

:gallop:

I am ROCKS....................................and GORGEOUS!

That's guaranteed then is it?

Truly brilliant stuff Mart.

Not guaranteed but much morelikely than Blackwell going down that route

Had his chance this year brought in the likes of France, Stewart, Taylor etc

The mans a failure that blames anyone and anything other than himself.

Giving Blackwell another year is writing off that year

He's a loser and so are you if you think we should stick with him:mad:

What I am saying is that we have no choice because whether we want it or not he will be here for the whole of next season

If that is the case then he has an opportunity to bamboozle us all.

Do I think he will surprise us?

On balance, no I don't, but I hope he will

Why have we no choice?
Why should we stand by and watch this man make our club a laughing stock?
If only 10,000 turned up tomorrow do you think McCabe would ignore that - admitted he has done some STUPID things but he is not that STUPID
I for one will not stand by letting these idiots ruin our club
We need to get rid of Blackwell IMMEDIATELY
Do you imagine a side containing so many loanees will give a toss when playing against Wendy with the end of the seasons holidays looming!

You know what, the grass on the other side isn't greener, it's just a different shade of brown

I'd like to see change
I'd like to see our club have a manager that plays flowing entertaining football
I'd like to see us in with a chance of winning something

A new manager isn't going to happen even if our crowds go down

If we did get a new manager, how long would it be before "the fans" became dissatisfied and started demanding, ooh guess what, a new manager.

We're just an average club - we can't afford a Mourinho, a Ferguson (sir), an O'Neill and we can't afford a Rooney, a Fabregas or even a Michael Brown.

This is reality and we are stuck with it.

If you want to boycott matches then you do just that, it is your privilege as it is anybody else who wants to do the same.

I go to the Lane for more than just the match and sometimes it isn't easy to down that last pre-match pint and trek down for the 90 minutes that usually spoils the day out.

Following SUFC is not a fair weather thing for me and for many like me.

My wife (Leeds fan and we live in Leeds) tells my friends that I have followed the Blades for 50 years through thin and thinner. She's right!

I've seen many good times in those years though as well as bad times and at the moment we are experiencing a trip into one of the mediocre spells we have to put up with. How long it will last I don't know - what I do know is that it won't last for ever and one day we will watch a team that is something like what we all want.

Many more downs than ups but you make a choice, take it or leave it.

I've made my choice, made it decades ago, and I'll be there tomorrow, and the next match and the next match no matter who is charge.

Not a bad post till you lost your way

'some of you still think we should be building a team around Nick Montgomery'

Ive followed the Blades for 50 years but it doesn'treason that because theyve won nowt they have to continue to win nowt!
I just find your acceptance of mediocrity bemusing
I find your accetance of sh!tye football even more bemusing
What is it lets keep Blackwell because he slightly better than Robson
Currently there are several clubs like the Blades in the Premier - Bolton, Wolves, Burnley, Stoke, Birmingham, Portsmouth (very mismanaged)Hull, Wigan,Sunderland, Blackburn etc
I know we can't all be like the Chelsea, man Utd, Man City, Liverpool but we could compete with the others !

There are also several clubs like United not in the Premier League - Derby, Leeds Norwich, Charlton, Forest, Wendy, Leicester and probably more. They can't all get promoted this season can they?

But at the start of the season United looked far more equiped to achieve it than any of the others!

I'm not accepting in the sense you seem to think I am, as if I am happy about it because I'm not. I'm making comments about the situation and if/how it may or may not change. We can't change it unless you think a fan's revolt or much reduced gates will drive Blackwell out. If the fans do revolt then who in their right mind would manage us, play for us or back us with real money? I've heard crowds of 14,000 be more passionate than the 20,000+ we get in nowadays but let's face it, lower crowds means less money to attract the manager you think we should have. Chicken or egg?

But at the start of the season United looked far more equiped to achieve it than any of the others!

I agree with that as I was confident we would be in the top two at the end of season. Team's changed a bit though hasn't it?
