Lot of fuckers with weak bladders yesterday my row was up and down like a pro's knickers.

That was me till recently, medical science works wonders. One pint of beer meant 7 or 8 trips to toilet

Ooo, that gives away your age. Years ago I used to live in the Herringthorpe area, the wave machine and those concrete creatures (whatever they were supposed to be) were pretty lethal.
If I remember right the floor of the pool was like rough artex & if you got knocked over when wave machine was on it used to move you back & forth & it felt like being rubbed down with sandpaper.

Well I’ve sat in the BLUT for most games this season (so as near to an away view as you can get). The atmosphere has been disappointing at almost every game, to say we’re in the best period of many supporters’ lives. Very rarely any songs sung and far from an intimidating level either!

I personally don’t really give much of a monkeys about atmosphere as in more bothered about what happens on the pitch (that’s what I pay my money for) but it bothers me when I see people online trying to defend our atmosphere and say our fans are brilliant, when in truth they aren’t. I live in Leeds now and go to the odd game with pals and, as much as I don’t like to admit it, standing on their kop for 90 mins is a totally different experience as they are noisy and persistent for the whole game.

It’s a shame, but we’re 7th in the prem, so who gives a toss?

I'm willing to bet the Leeds fans will actually celebrate at the home game they get promotion as well.

Shit when did the rules change. I thought it was sitting only in stadiums.
Why don’t you just stay at home and watch it on the tv stood up?

I do stand up in the house believe it or not. Constantly going to the fridge for another beer saves my knees. I stand at the game as well. Why sit down at the game? Bad backs? Yeah, them seats are ergonomically designed for lumbar support... And don't get me started on the leg room....

All those visiting supporters, managers and commentators must be wrong then, and you right. If you stand on the Leeds kop obviously you're going to live the experience. As you're sitting in the BLUT, where there's more atmosphere at a Women's Institute meeting, you're opposite end of the ground from the kop. Atmosphere is raucous and brilliant where I stand, Row zz

Ive not sat down for one second of any match this season on the kop and i'm 66 ( almost) and I've got bad legs and chest pains with too much exertion ( apart from that I'm in rude health).

Can't ever imagine sitting down at football

Sounds like you needs sit down.....

S S of P Alert.

Why don't we just forget the Kop and try and get some atmosphere going in the blut? Surely if a few of us got sat together at the back we could get it rocking up there. Anyone fancy it?

Eh?

Oh right

Just because it was tried once and didn't work, it doesn't mean we shouldn't try again, and instead just rip the piss for evermore

When they were putting seating in, they must have assumed that the KOP patrons be 4 ft tall with legs like toothpicks!

You're telling a proper Yorkshire blade to follow stupid rules made by Southern upper class twats who know nothing about football?
or stay home?

Just Fuck off

Stupid rules? Brought in on the back of the Taylor report after the death of 95 innocent football fans like you and me. Great post.

I’ve said it before but always think away days at Boxing Day are better.

A home Boxing Day fixture is always built up as a maquis fixture but I always think more times than not it is a bit subdued due to every one being half hung over from the day before.

The exception was last year against Derby and that only came to life when the ref tried to screw us over.
I don't think I have ever been to a decent game on Boxing day, started badly in 1979 & not got any better since. Luckily for everyone I can't get to games at the moment and I think the result against Watford was actually a good one. I hope I don't jinx it by saying that I have a good feeling about the next two away games and you will all be pleased to know I'm not going to those either
