Stearman is a bloody good defender.
He has it all technically, I just think he's lacking physically at times. Not just his strength, but his pace and his presence.
I really rate him though and even in the Premiership he's a fantastic backup to have.

David Nugent has played about 70 premier league games, he wouldn’t be sufficient cover for our strikers either

Stears is a lovely bloke and decent championship defender but I’d rather have better competition for Egan - rather than just back up.

Anyway, Stearman is here and will do ok in the Prem so he doesn’t need replacing, all the other players I mentioned have all been let go so they need replacing first before we even think about replacing or upgrading Stearman.

A "friend" who has genuine knowledge has told me tonight we're not even in for him! Though we did make our interest known several weeks back. Overall package price is too high apparently. Dont know if that's true but he certainly wouldn't lie to me or feed me bullshit.
I'd never ask the lad for info (he just mentioned it) as I don't like doing that shit, and I'm not really interested. I'm happy to wait for official announcements. And dont ask, I would never name him.
