Billy will have his best ever season.
Hmm, I can't see that but hope you're right.

I just don't see this as I don't think he is a big enough name (which always seems more important in these newer leagues), Everton is more likely but again (as with Burnley) they are collecting strikers so somebody misses out. If we end up with this year's strike force we will not score enough goals, we need at least one good addition (like Hulse last time round), who is enough of a threat to open up the game for our other strikers to get a chance. Lois of people throwing in ideas, many of whom are spent forces and many who will be out of reach.
Chali 2na who is your suggestion? I see you picking off other people's ideas but can't find your choice of a signing.
Doesn’t mean he’ll score more than his league one season or this season, but I think he’ll step his game up again. He’s been immense the last few seasons and this season he has been better than ever.Hmm, I can't see that but hope you're right.
I'd say that this is his agent being a bit too enthusiastic spreading rumours.I'm not saying he's definetly going to China, and I'm not saying he's definetly going to earn £300k somewhere. I'm just saying that the very fact he's been linked with such moves should tell any sensible blades that he'll be well out of our price range.
As for your dig at me in your last 2 sentences; I haven't "picked off" many ideas other than stupid ones, like Mitrovic. Also, I've suggested plenty of names, you've obviously missed them - Realistic striker targets such as McBurnie, Miete and Robinson.
I think some may be a tad disappointed at who we bring in you can see Hogan being one and possibly Madine and IF that happens alongside mcgoldrick and Sharpe that will only leave one more I presume and that isn't going to be a £10 million player, is Washington still here, cannot remember if he is on loan or not.

McBurnie
22 year old Scottish International who's scored 22 championship goals for recent Prem club Swansea City already used to paying and receiving large sums (20m+) for players.
How much do you think Swansea would ask for him?
Robinson
24 year old part of a good season at Championship level. Remember half season Hugill? 8 million, 1.5 seasons ago, not good enough for the Prem.
When you look at it like that all suggestions are stupid, either we can't afford them or they aren't good enough.
The comparison is not to highlight like for like players but to show that you can't judge a player after one good season.think he'll do alright in the PL, and he couldn't be any more different to Hugill- it's a poor, lazy comparison in my opinion.
I bet you'd struggle with that, I don't recall too much dissention and if there was it would be the usual minority demanding we bought an Assombalonga or Rhodes.I'm sure I could find plenty of posts telling us that David McGoldrick wasn't good enough for last season when we signed him.

tbf they were a little unfortunate with the plane incident fwirCardiff played majority of the season with a right back up front that’s probs why they went down
the new Kev PhillipsBilly will have his best ever season.
The thing is we can gamble on 2 or 3 players becoming good enough or buy one who is - gambling is all a bit Neil Warnock to me, which generally doesn't end well. That's why I said it's a gamble.
Ok you're going down the semantics route, I'll be more specific: having one good (Championship) season does not make you a good (Championship) player and their are numerous examples of players who have a purple patch in their career only for it never to be repeated. In comparison the names I've put forward are all proven consistent scorers. Also, you said you can't judge a player after one season: why did you imply that Robinson wouldn't be good enough? Surely you're judging him too?
For sake of this argument I wasn't one of them (and I've checked since it was a while back). There were plenty of people uninspired and I heard several people say that they didn't think he'd be good enough to make an impact.

I very much doubt we can get Maupay and there is no way we'll be paying the wages required to sign Carroll or Mitrovic.
Why do you think we wouldn’t be able to get Maupay? (Genuine question not trying to argue)
We know Brentford will pretty much always sell their players (provided they are at maximum selling value) - it’s their policy.
If others are interested it wouldn’t be surprising but then again, he’s not played in the premier league so I think he would be perfect for us to ‘take a chance’ on him being able to make the step up.
"We wont be the only PL side after him" sounds good doesnt it ? Premier League side !!I actually think Maupay is out of our league, there were rumours of bids from top 6 sides earlier during jtw, and i think if theres us in for him, we wont be the only pl side in for him too, think watford, bournemouth et al will give it a gamble too, and weve got far less pull than them tbh
