You mean they are the sort who would write "could of" instead of "could have"?The combined IQ of our "Pitch Invaders" probably wouldn't even beat this years points total
FFS!I think in the end the whole thing seemed a bit flat. What did we do? Clap the players off. Basically what we do every home game. If we was on the pitch the party atmosphere would of lasted longer and felt like a more special occasion.
As any other team won promotion and not gone one the pitch ?.
They got a good bollocking from Sir Chris before waddling off the pitch. At least it was only a talking to though, the idiot at the end who thought that he’d ‘escaped’ into the Family Stand received a few good slaps from irate fans as he headed for the exit and was then practically thrown down the steps by another who took exception to his invasion. Well done John Street! The two lasses who slowly toddled on, looked a bit unsure about what to do, then toddled off. They were the best.

Herbert von Rickstompfen hasn't posted since the game. Did he bottle it or was he one of the few and had his collar felt.
He led some chants throughout the 1st and 2nd. Fair play to him. Got things going. UTB

Didn’t millwall do it the other year?Never see any playoff winners on the pitch.
That's clearly what I was getting at...So breaking the law is ok as long as innocent people don’t die?

Guilty as charged! They got a good bollocking from Sir Chris before waddling off the pitch. Just as I didn’t say a pitch invasion would likely cause a fatality. That's clearly what I was getting at...
It is also 'against the law' to use flares and smoke bombs in the stadium. I don't imagine you'll say the same about them.
In fact, it against our club's rules, and therefore the law, to use 'bad language' inside the stadium.
Though, given you've ignored the majority of my post and strawmanned it , I'll not expect a decent reply.
I didn't say you did, but you compared the mentality of people who invade the pitch with people who check their phones whilst driving - the difference being one causes the death of innocents on a regular basis and one... scuffs up the Desso?Just as I didn’t say a pitch invasion would likely cause a fatality.
Smoke bombs and flares I can’t stand personally, and arguably more dangerous and inconsiderate than going on the pitch. No need to put ‘against the law’ in inverted commas; they are against the law, and conditions of entry to the stadium.
I didn’t realise swearing was banned throughout the stadium, I thought it was only John Street. I don’t think SUFC have the power to pass laws though. If you were wondering, I don’t swear at games.
Apologies for not pulling you up on thinking you have a right to go on the pitch to celebrate with the players. You don’t.
Yes I compared their mentality. You’re comparing the consequences. They aren’t the same thing.I didn't say you did, but you compared the mentality of people who invade the pitch with people who check their phones whilst driving - the difference being one causes the death of innocents on a regular basis and one... scuffs up the Desso?
Some fans (including the mods of this forum) in the Tony Currie stand were given letters this (or last) season warning them about their foul language. You might not swear at games, but do you think that those that do should be banned? Everyone who chants the JOC chant, Duffy's chant, Fleck's chant, etc.
It isn't a consistent position to hold, the law isn't an absolute, objective morality.
Someone who uses their phone whilst driving has a disregard for the law, but also a naivety in thinking 'it won't happen to me'.Yes I compared their mentality. You’re comparing the consequences. They aren’t the same thing.
I’ll let the club decide how it wants to deal with swearing in family areas, I don’t see it having an impact on safety in an emergency.
If you don’t like the law, campaign to change it and write to the club/EFL. Don’t go on the pitch and tell them they’re wrong because you don’t agree with it.
Well, that was the most miserable promotion ever wasn't it? (And it is promotion)
As soon as the whistle goes we're not celebrating, we're fucking booing our own fans.
Then we just sat around for a while, calmly waited for the players, then clapped at them a bit as they went off! It felt like a normal end of season.
I didn't go near the pitch because it was obvious it wasn't going to happen, as we aren't that type of fanbase anymore.
