I think in the end the whole thing seemed a bit flat. What did we do? Clap the players off. Basically what we do every home game. If we was on the pitch the party atmosphere would of lasted longer and felt like a more special occasion.

Post Grealish being lamped, pitch invasions aren't going to be a thing anymore unless you're in league one or two and don't have the stewarding staff.

Some might mourn them but I didn't enjoy today any less because I wasn't on the pitch.

Tell you what though, I don't have anything against pitch invasions particularly, but to turn up and be told multiple times over the tannoy, had a warning on the screen for the last 20 minutes pretty much constantly, and in the program, and still run on the pitch, I have something against that. What a bunch of twats.

Wilder shouting at you to get off the pitch and players shoving you away hopefully showed you that in today's case you weren't wanted.

At least it was only a talking to though, the idiot at the end who thought that he’d ‘escaped’ into the Family Stand received a few good slaps from irate fans as he headed for the exit and was then practically thrown down the steps by another who took exception to his invasion. I think that's the first time I've seen the MAJORITY against a pitch invasion. And to be truthful, I was one of them. When I saw the club make such a determined effort to ask fans NOT to go on the pitch, I respected that. There were messages on the big screen to this effect. When I heard that "Chris" had asked us not to go on the pitch it meant something to me. I wasn't planning to go on the pitch anyway. But even if I was I wouldn't have, having been given that clear instruction by the club - and the best manager in our history.

For the first time in watching the Blades in over half a century I thought the guys who did run on the pitch were insensitive dickheads. They made themselves look stupid.

Especially the two girls who had the sole ambition of kissing Billy Sharp. Well done Shaz and Tracey!

It was a great game with a fitting finale.

I can kind of get behind pitch invasions as eruptions of emotion had a 92nd minute winner gone in and sent us up. I'm not a big fan, but such is life. I can't get behind people that obviously went into the game wanting to go on the pitch at the end in a game we'd had won from mid-way into the first half.

Without the sense of spontaneity it's just a bunch of idiots wanting everyone to look at them.

Someone who uses their phone whilst driving has a disregard for the law, but also a naivety in thinking 'it won't happen to me'.
The same mentality can't be said for pitch invaders, as they don't naively disregard the unlikely, but fatal, consequences their actions can have.

Bottled it. You condemned pitch invaders for breaking the law, but won't do the same to those that break similar laws. The club has decided, it's illegal.

Also I know someone that ran onto the pitch (having rewatched the Sky coverage, where he's full screen clearly recognisable and about to be banned) and I wouldn't want to be anywhere near him to be honest, or have my kids near him so fair do's.

Times move on. Grealish got lamped on the pitch, pitch invaders are why you'll probably not see pitch invasions in the higher divisions in the future so as football fans we've no-one to blame but ourselves.

Used to be in the if you ran on the pitch you were either naked or had witnessed your team winning something. Now though people do it because they want a selfie, or because they're on something and think they're Dr Bollocks from the Bakerloo Line and deserve to be centre stage. It's rarely about emotion or celebration anymore, the ones that are are spontaneous and not talked about online for a week.

Personally I'm more than happy with my celebrations with my fellow Blades in the stands and that the players and staff could get the adulation they deserve on the pitch with their families without any stranger danger.

It's a shame you've decided to take a negative out of today.
