I think the next 2 weeks are season defining - how many points do you think we need to come out of it still in the race for autos?

I think 6.
 



Minimum 2 point average...6.
I reckon we will get 5.
Next 2 draws then beat Rotherham.

On a side note, I don’t think we will lose again this season.
 
Let's just hope Steve McClaren can suss out how to grind out results faster than he did the Dutch language.

Seriously though. Concentrate on ourselves; we get results against: Leeds ,WBA and Bristol then it's in our own hands.

I'd say minimum of 5pts. WBA is a "must not lose" game.

Worth noting that Leeds' 3 games are over 6 days. Ours are spread over 14 days. Leeds also play away to Bristol City as their 4th game. The QPR game away is a game in hand.
 
The only thing that is important here is WBA a - the only one we can influence and is what Chris and the team will be working on.
 
QPR could do us a massive favour here, their next 3 are

HOME to West Brom
AWAY to Boro
HOME to Leeds

QPR are a weird team.
When we played them in early Jan they were in great form on the fringes of the play-offs.
We beat them 1-0 and now they’ve lost every league game since (5 league defeats on the spin).

However the stats suggest they’ve been playing reasonably well but not getting the run of the ball.
McLaren has been full of excuses about how well they have played even though they lost.

On their day QPR are a really good team and over due a good result
So I really believe that QPR will beat West Brom on Tuesday and may get a draw in one of the other games.

In our next 3 games, we need a minimum of 6 points.
 
I’d love us to get 7.

Draw, win, win.

Can’t ever predict anything in football though and I can’t say I’m looking forward to Saturday or the derby.
 
This is a crucial series of games no doubt about that, but let’s say we overachieve and get 7 points (draw at wba) then it will only mean the next three are season defining, we just need to be in the mix with the top two come the last month..

I do like like the look of some of the other teams fixtures as well, I’m still refusing to get carried away but there’ll be twists and turns, I can guarantee that because some teams will be scrapping for their lives shortly..

To stay in the top 2 then we must really be winning our next 3 games - very unlikely though! It's what comes after until the end of the season for me :)
 
I don't fancy Norwich to get many points from their games. Bristol have been superb & will cause them problems but it's at Carrow Road. I fancy a draw.

Millwall are strong at home. They won't allow Norwich to play & will look to bully them. A point will be a good result for them there.

Swansea are a bit of an enigma. On their day, one of the best sides in the league. When they're not, they're distinctly toothless. If they turn up, I fancy a win for Swansea.

Would expect Leeds to pick up at least 5 points, I reckon we will get 6.

I agree with 6. 5 wouldn’t be anywhere near enough. That would put us irrevocably out of the race. Personally I’m hoping for 8.

46 games do of course make up the regular season. However, most people do acknowledge that during a season there are defining periods - the period I have highlighted shows a lot of the top teams having to play each other, so I don't think its crazy to state that this set of fixtures will go along way to determining our fate.
 
This season is bout averaging 2 points per game or just under... not about going on a stand out run. So far we are averaging 1.84 points per game so we need to up it slightly to get 2nd spot.

We have drawn with Villa, and beaten Boro and Reading averaging 2.3 points per game which is more like where we need to be.

If we get 5 points from the next 3 games that's 12 points from the last 6 so 2 points per game but still 1.83 over the season and enough for the play offs.

7 points bumps us up to 1.89 points per game and in with a more realistic shout of automatic.

So to answer your question I think we will get 6 points ;-)

Reckon West Brom will show their class over the next three and start the run for home to join Norwich in the top two.

2 points for a draw at the Hawthornes and that might be doable.
