I'm of the mind that if we play poorly at Ipswich and show no signs of improvement, he'll be gone. Not based on any knowledge, just how I feel about it.
I agree that on the face of it, it seems ridiculous to be talking about canning a new manager after less than half a dozen games, but sadly they've gone far worse than any of us could have envisaged. I doubt even those predicting doom and gloom from June would have thought we have lost all our first five matches.
I can't deny the set up at Boro really pushed me in a different direction from being in the show patience camp. I'd go as far as saying I was astonished at the naivety shown.
With the extra players now available and the failure of the set up used so far, it's incredulous to think we'll set up the same.
Whether we go with wing backs I'm not so sure, but if we can't set up more sensibly and put up a bit of a better show now with the players at his disposal (irrespective of result), it's going to be difficult to convince most fans he can turn it around sufficiently.
