To a good home/pub. My 15 foot bt 7or 9 foot Royal Navy white Ensign flag emblazoned in any SHEFFIELD UNITED.
A Physical condition makes it hard to get to my seat let alone lug this away matches.
It was once on a Royal Navy 10 Type 22 missile frigate of the Broadsword Class ordered by the Royal Navy. Then Handed to Barmy Flags to Do all the Handy crafts as to what you can see as it is hung in their workshop. Exeter, Swindon, Colchester, Wigan and Peterborough just a few mentioned grounds it has been displayed in its glory. My First lag went even further afield. Anyways. A flag for NOWT. Pub /Club or if it can be hung on the Kop even Better.

My chap mates would be interested pal.
Can I message you at diner about it?

One of the best features at Bramall Lane are the flagpoles around the edge of the roof - very few (any?) other grounds in the country have these.

I think it started when the South Stand opened in 1975 or whenever, on the opening day of the stand, various flags of the world were fluttering and I still think this looked superb (to me much nicer than just red, black and white ones ..... but that's just me).

This proper Navy Ensign, stitched together is a beautiful thing, I have no doubt, if it still exists in 300 years time it shall be nearly as valuable as old stars and stripes from the early USA are today (I said 'nearly' btw!) nonetheless, it will be regarded as important 'Folk Art' to be sure.

Would it be a good idea to approach the club and see if they could do a match (perhaps the first match in the premiership next season???), where they flew all the supporters' flags like this along the tops of the stands? (it'd be a nice tribute to the most loyal supporters)

Congratulations Jon

Wednesday have them on the north stand number of which are Thailand flags.

Am I making this up or was it a Championship rule? Recall when we first put them up we had all the crests of the teams in the league on them didn’t we? I’m sure Old Trafford flies the flags of the countries from which it’s players are from.

I’d like the club to allow fans to draw them all over the stadium shame regulations tend to prevent this on the whole

When I saw that, it seemed to be limited in its appeal in the sense that not that many Blades live in Chapeltown, until I remembered that i actually do, although neither the one in Sheffield or Leeds.

It’s a different one, in Lancashire and you may not want it to go abroad, but it would be doing missionary work :-) Seriously, if you get no other takers, I would be interested and you can PM me.

There’s plenty of Blades in Chapeltown & High Green. Looks like the flag has already been claimed but if not let me know

I had 3 or 4 lads asking me to message him straight away mate (who aren't on the forum but like to nosey)
It will go to a good home because 90% of them are the lads with the High Green Blades flag, and as you'll know they go EVERYWHERE.
2 or 3 of them have crossed the boarder though and now live in Chap so this is ideal for them.

Under Bassett in the premier leagues first season we had all the league teams flags on top of the south stand, I can confirm this.. don’t remember it in the championship ...

I remember the first two PL seasons just (only 32) but also recall it on John st new stand which was after we got relegated? Makes me shudder the thought of their crest flying above the Lane

I've got about 10 family members that live in Chap, all Blades.
But of course they don't exist because nobody in Chap supports United. Some Wendies said so

THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND OFFERS, FOR A NEW HOME FOR MY FLAG. A FELLOW BLADE FROM CHAPELTOWN HAS PROMISED IT A GOOD LIFE, WITH HOPEFULLY A PROMOTION AND NEW GROUNDS TO SEE. GOOD TO KNOW WHERE A FAMILY OF BLADES, WHERE EVER WE LIVE. THANKS AGAIN.
