I recall John Cofie having a bit of pace about him, but literally nothing else.

I used to work with John Cofie's dad. He was stunned when he got picked up by Burnley. Said he was useless at football but was convinced he would end up with an Olympic sprinting medal.

me too........here are his wiki stats..............and he's still ONLY 25 !

do we think he has an attitude problem? - Wiki says Man U paid Burnley £1m when he was 14.

Scary part of that is he played more times for us than all but one other club. Maybe we can give him a testimonial?

Still, there was this goal:

(Clip also includes the grand opening of the JES at her “beloved” Sheffield United for those who enjoy a trip down memory lane/huge cringe)

Green Mile - reyt film

Played by Michael Clarke Duncan - R.I.P

That and The Shawshank Redemption, great films that made me shed a tear (the beginning of TGM in the old peoples home especially so). The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas more than did that though, a very well made film but I just can't watch it again.

I have to watch TGM and SR every so often. Very good well made films but they're loooooong, especially Green Mile. Gangs of New York too, different kind of film but one you should watch every couple of years.

Of films that make you shed a tear - The Notebook. That really did me that one.

If true, funny how quickly it will have happened. Clarke was first choice not long ago. Dropped from the side because of injury and McG and Sharp strike up a really good partnership. Leon finally gets fit again, but he's restricted to the bench because of Sharp and McG. Quickly after we bring in Madine, and here we are.

That said, I think now would be a good time to go. Re: attitude, I actually think he's been exemplary for us. As shown by Wilder making him captain for a number of games. But I think Leon thrives when he's the main man. And I think in Wilder's ideal side for where we need to be, he's not that. He was, but not now.

Good kit that. Shit team.

Clarke has only scored 3 this year, but that's 3 more than Washington or Madine have managed between them.

His decline is disappointing but we need someone as cover who might score a goal. It would be silly to get rid of him if there's nobody coming in to replace him (and I assume there isn't).

Clarke's attitude is that bad Wilder made him captain for large parts of last season...
I couldn’t give less of a toss what you think you know mateyo.

I know what I know. And I’m not about to put it in the public domain either.

Wow, what a strange overreaction. I never said I know anything, I'm merely pointing out that Wilder's past actions suggest otherwise.

He's not claiming he knows anything extraordinary, you're the one doing that. Do you know more than the manager?

Can you believe that things, namely attitudes change? Sometimes overnight as well. Unbelievable stuff.

Mad that init.

All over twitter now saying he's off to Rotherham.

Be nice if they would send us that Taylor in exchange

See above brainbox.
It's weird how Billy still gives him the armband when he comes off isn't it, considering he's had such a dramatic change in attitude. You'd almost think the management would have noticed and instructed otherwise.

Things change, I know it’s hard to believe that someone might know more about internal matters than you do yet here we are.

I disagree. I don't think attitudes generally change at all, unless there's extenuating circumstances, which can usually be excused.

He wouldn’t be the first to have the United armband and fall out of favour – the Clough era immediately springs to mind.

I guess last season when Sharp was out of the team there were plenty of media questions on this, where Wilder seemed to go out of his way to highlight what a good attitude Sharp had despite being out of the team. We haven’t heard that with Clarke, but in fairness to him I don’t think Wilder has had to field a single question on the lines of “how difficult is it for Clarke being out of the team this season having been first choice last season?”.

Wilder made some comments after the Brentford game in November about how Clarke had 'put his hand up' and opted to play through injury, with Wilder saying that he hoped his injury wouldn't be too bad and that he would be back as soon as possible. That's the last comment he made about Clarke, as far as I can find anyway.

It’s okay, you clearly know more about me on this subject and my source (who is a very good one) is totally wrong.

I now bow to your superior knowledge.

Any ideas who we’re looking at this window?

Again, I haven't said any of that so stop throwing your toys around.
