Its time for me.
I would thank him, wish him all the best but you need a different mindset if you're going to be an impact sub- which is all he was going to be until the end of the season.

Washington and Clarke out?
You'd think we would be in for another striker then.

Chedwyn?............................:tumbleweed:

I trust the person who told me put it that way. But he didn’t say they were 100% on their bike, just that if things don’t improve they could be.

Thanks. See my post at the same time :)

That’s the rumour I heard early December. Wants to move back home. Not necessarily Wallsall, although there are not many others to chose from !

There’s plenty!

Dudley Town.
Sedgeley Dynamo
Tipton Tornadoes
Cannock Rangers.

As I have said previously, he is unlikely to be a starter, attitude and subsequently his performances have markedly reduced since he signed his last contract and his value is only going one way. It subsequently makes sense to offload him and hopefully bring in a younger striker who we can develop. In an ideal world this could be done with minimal impact on our transfer and wages budget.

He wrote himself into our history books but I agree he’s had his best time and now would be a good time for him to move on.

Need a powerful pacey replacement though.

Yes.

Mason Chesterhill-Wellingworth and Humphrey Fitzgerald III are two who I think could add some much needed brains to the group.

Aren’t they part of the gang that buggered Carruthers to death?

Yes. Poor Carruthers, his lack of surnames really did upset them.
tossed him up in a bedsheet whilst naked, then set about his private parts with a lacrosse paddle. Glad I went to a comprehensive school personally.

I'd be surprised if Wilder moved him on at this point.

Not much more than a week of the window left.

I've suggested time waits for no man and that it may be his time to move but with so little time left it would seem an unnecessary Gamble and Chris doesn't like not having his bases covered.

His goal against Derby showed that he can have his uses. It just so happens Sharp has really been effective this year that Leon hasn't had a sniff. If Sharp did take a knock though, I would have no issue Leon stepping in.

Thankfully with a few more strikers to choose from, that is unlikely to happen

I would agree, a year end move is more likely.

Needs to play to be fit and needs to be fit to play well so it's best for him if he can go somewhere and get a game. Probably the only player who can score twice against the pigs and still be hated by some of our fans.

Would have been stupidity to sell him last January with his form at the time. It's like saying we should sell Sharp and McGoldrick now in case they don't score many for the rest of the season and their value is lower at the end of the season as a result.

Source?

You've got everyone writing his Blades obituary below without any supporting evidence. Not saying you're round but whhdp?

Just off my mate. He knows a few people but wouldn't tell me where he'd heard it.

By no means ITK, just repeating what was said

Makes me laugh when fans talk about a players attitude not being right, aye have you spoken to them?

Saw this on Twitter, perhaps by the same person who told you. Not someone to make rumours up and he called the Madine signing before others, so I can see merit in it.

If I'm being entirely honest, whenever Leon comes on these days my natural reaction is 'oh dear, let's hope he proves me wrong again'. He owes us nothing and can leave us with good memories and his head held high.
