Washington offers us something that non of the others do unless the incoming has the same attributes.

With Washington’s contract being up in the summer I’m sure he would be desperate to leave if someone is offering a good contract..

Josh Maja would be a great option although will only take a PL club offering £30k to put paid to our interest

Think Defoe will get interest from team willing to pay more who are further south..

I would however like us to test the water over Nick Powell. We are in a position in the league to attract players. He is a good age and at the point he signed for Wigan I don’t see him being on more than £15k? Villa were interested but have changed manager since and to top it he’s now in the last 6 months of his contract.

I can’t see us Keeping Johnson past the summer, I think of we could we would send him back in Jan.

Also think Freeman and Baldock have under performed if there is a RWB available I think CW maybe interested with Freeman as understudy and Baldock moving on in the summer..
