Definitely see where you are coming from, for me the DM now has to be Soumaré as otherwise what is the point of bringing in a lad on loan if you aren't going to give him any minutes. It's either that or if we did sign Mee you played a CB out of position there.

Not sure what is in the kitty however using my trusty source of Transfermarkt, Jaïro Riedewald is available on a free transfer. Ex Ajax academy turned 1st team and played at Palace too along with Antwerp. He has had an injury but managed to get over that and stay fit available on a free and a can cover LB as well as DM. If we were looking to keep the theme of Brazilians at DM Gabriel Pires is also a free agent, has Juve and Benfica on his CV could well do a job. I keep mentioning frees as realistically DM is quite specialised and without forking out a tonne of cash we are looking at loans

I feel for Cannon, already struggling then gets played out of position. Literally got about 9 minutes up top on Saturday before he was pushed to the wing again. I know he's not been great but give the lad a chance

I know many have writing him off (like they do with a lot of players unfairly some times, especially those who haven't played much as they've been unlucky with injuries) but I don't think I've seen enough of him in his actual position to make any kind of judgement yet
