Sheffield United under a Labour government...

No its not its socialism , and its been proved time and again that it does not work.
Whereas slavery and poor houses do.

Well they do for some people, obviously.

The wealthy ones that don't have to support the poor, homeless and unemployed that are sponging on their wealth.

If you're quite happy with the clusterfuck that is our current privatised rail service and other privatised utilities who's bottom line is shareholder profit, the creeping privatization of the NHS, top companies paying no tax, wages stagnent for the past ten years, government in open warfare over the Brexit shambles, and the massive cuts to council budgets, fair enough. You're welcome to vote Tory. Jacob Rees Mogg would make a great PM wouldn't he? Hoorah!

Social Democratic parties across Europe have evolved since the 70s and now they are much more innovative and pragmatic. Labour's policies aren't much different to the major left-leaning parties of Germany, Sweden and other north European center-left parties. But look how much better the Tories are doing than that lot, eh?

Personally I'd rather give Labour a chance than allow that bunch of privileged, overpaid, corrupt public schoolboys another five years in office.

Would rather have Mogg than Diane Abbot as Home Secretary every day of the week.

Just speechless. Because the Tories have made such a good job of running the country? Worse than Robson, Adkins, Peters and Sirrell put together. Set of chuffs.

Though after the bankers/consumers f**cked the worlds economy in 2008 any government would have struggled.

This countries debt and pension debt will take decades to correct.

£ 78,000.00 for every person in the UK. rising £ 5k per second.

can’t wait to live in the new Eastern bloc.. ah wait .. we voted to leave it just in time
btw.. how will blockchain ‘do your job’ .. do you understand blockchain? genuinely interested

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have the foggiest about blockchain. I get emails all the time telling me I should get to know it but it’s all a bit technical for me. I’m sure some geeks are going to get rich out of it though.

I think introducing the Soylent Green program would probably help, just a long as it doesn’t include those who’ve already passed their mush by date. ;)

Markets and capitalism are only good for people when they need people. When capitalism no longer need people for growth that’s when socialism will become the politics of the day and you’ll be thankful for it.

When markets drive the rest of the world, countries with socialist politics will simply degenerate financially. Socialism is far and away the fairest way to run a country. Unfortunately, it only works if everybody plays, if you have vast supplies of some valuable resource or if you can be completely self sufficient.

it is if the option they are discussing is to re run the referendum ;)
Isn't that just one of the options if we somehow end up with the shitty end of the stick - assuming that the present lot manage Brexit in their usual incomparably incompetent way?

no it isn’t an option it already got decided

I used to vote Labour in the 80s and 90s, but if the two IRA supporting scumbag loons Corbyn and McDonnell gets in, this country is f***ed.

I've never voted Conservative on principal after what Thatcher did to Sheffield in the 80s, however if Boris Johnson was the leader I'd be giving serious consideration to voting Tory for the first time. If not I'll stick with UKIP.

Doesn't matter who is in and who is out. It's just the same sized pot to piss in but just different ways and things to spend it on. Labour will not get my vote WHILE that imbercile is running the party. What a gutless incompetent turd he is.

I've got a second home which will be my pension. Osborne clamped down on 'buy-to-let', the corrupt banks give zero interest on savings, they'll nick the lot if you go into care but 'we're not saving enough for our old age'.

But, utterly predictably, the politicians have set us against each other and people like me are seen as 'greedy'. As I've said before, they don't want anybody making money apart from themselves, their already-rich mates and cunts like the banks and the 'big four' - corrupt - accountants such as KPMG and PwC.

Here's a tip. If the young can't get on the housing ladder, why not get a job - as I did at 17 - instead of tossing it off at uni. for some utterly worthless degree?

Here's another tip. Don't believe a fucking word the politicians say. And that includes champagne socialists like O'Donnell, Corbyn, Starmer, Thornberry, Abbott, Blair, Mandelson etc. etc.

As John Lydon once said, 'Ever had the feeling you've been had?'
I notice you only mention Labour politicians in your don’t believe a thing they say. Have you ever thought of becoming a Daily Express correspondent! ;)

Good evidence that Labour are a set of fucking incompetent morons - also look at Venezuela who have the same policies that Labour want to implement - they are almost bankrupt and people are starving.
Think it wouldnt happen here ? think again as Venezuela should be one of the richest countries in the world with their vast oil reserves

Yes, look at Venezuela, quite sick are the sanctions put onto the country just for choosing a socialist route. The USA can't have a shining light of Socialism, a working model right on their doorstep.

The banking bail-out was a form of socialism. The markets and Capitalism created that problem and to follow that type of politics through the banking sector would have crumbled with only the strongest surviving and many countries going bankrupt. When capitalism fails socialism is the antidote, it is always the antidote! It's amazing how many people think socialism is a bad idea but change their tune just around the time when they need it.

oh fuck me another Antifa keyboard warrior.. how was the banking bailout a socialist policy?? they were simply underwritten by the tax payer .. i never read that in Marx Engels .. perhaps you could point me to it?

Well said mate- too many doing stupid Uni courses that are worthless and derided by employers

A lot I agree with - look at the D&V party https://dvparty.uk/

brexit has been decided .. we had a vote on it.. i’m sure i didn’t make that up
What’s the harm in having another one? I don’t know any leavers who’d change their vote. You act like you’re scared of a second referendum because this time the majority will vote to remain.

The careers officers at schools who point the kids towards these courses have a lot to answer for.too. These dimwits need suing for misselling, same as the banks and PPI.

Keynesian multiplier. Injecting public money into the banks to prop up the economy. It’s a mainstay of traditional left wing economics but usually done by injecting money into public services and infrastructure (which we also did post 2008).

It’s called democracy. The referendum said out and out its got to be. It wasn’t a best out of three vote! ;)
If we have another vote, it’s still democratic though. It’s still ‘asking the people’. It’s not like Parliament simply overriding the referendum results.

Not for the first time in my life, a stupid question from me...

...if we’re going to have a second referendum, what was the fucking point of the first? If the result of the second doesn’t suit, what happens then, best of three?

Seriously, there has never previously been a time when U.K. politicians have been so universally despised - they couldn’t run a fucking bath.
