At 5.15pm today there was a “transfer news flash” on Sky Sports News.

The newsreader said “We understand Brighton have accepted a 2 million bid from Sheffield United for midfielder Oliver Norwood’”
‘He has a medical tomorrow and initially joins on a loan agreement”
‘However the transfer will be made permanent in January when Norwood will be given a 2.5 year deal”

Looking at stats looks good 33 & 36 games in consecutive promotion season for Reading & fulham. Espically Fulham who were outstanding January onwards almost surpassing wolves

Wilders comments still confusing. Something doesnt add up. Post swansea we had bids in 4 people. Post boro we're skint, signing nobody as nobody will improve us. To post QPR signing a premier league permanent in january

He said no permanents would improve us before the end of that window. He then mentioned we’d look to loan to buy.

Sky Sports News has announced that Sheffield United have completed the loan signing of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood

The report suggests that the former Norwich City midfielder will join initially on loan until January before completing a £2million move.

Norwood, 27, who spent most of last season at Fulham on loan, and helped guide them to a Championship Play-Off Final victory, could make his debut at home to Hull City on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup.

The Tigers themelves had bids rejected this summer from Brighton but looks set to join the Blades who are need of a new midfielder, following Lee Evans departure last Friday to Wigan.

Just heard it, they aren’t quoting it as fact.

They are saying ‘Sky understands a deal has been agreed”.

Earlier they said Norwood was due a medical tomorrow, so can’t see how any deal has been signed/ completed yet.
Neither SU or Brighton have made an official announcement.

Sounds like it’s all been verbally agreed subject to contract.

I know SS. The article has come from Vital and I've just been telling him his article is misleading and not factual

The deal is probably done, but they ain’t made the crappy announcement video yet. We can’t make an announcement without the social media shite being done now can we!

Same poster now saying Fulham fans don't rate him. If in doubt then LIE

If you’ve got 5 minutes, find is a ‘view from’ regards Fulham fans and Norwood. If they don’t rate him then we need to call it off

This is a thing of beauty.

Makes me smile that people are still bothering looking at what signings other teams are making. They are in a different world to us now and our fate was sealed on Monday evening. We’re going backwards and th next 2-3 years look to be quite hard work for Wednesday fans.

sadly our current owner has managed the finances, coaching team and player recruitment pretty badly, and his latest idea that we’ll get promoted this season with an inferior squad that last year, suggests his ideas are not improving.[/quote

This is the exact sort of signing we have been craving.

It is a sensible investment and shows we do at least spend some money. Signing the odd player for £2million every season can really push you up the table.

LWB to come in who’s attacking such as Johnson. Then the mystery striker would regain us all our optisim.

Especially when we've already signed a £4m player ;)

Is he a crab or can he actually move the ball forwards?

Is he a crab or can he actually move the ball forwards?

He might understand that sometimes, in order to keep possession and disrupt the shape of the opposition, it is necessary to go sideways or even backwards.

It’s something that unsophisticated football fans find difficult to comprehend. Especially those in S2 who have grown up on a diet of hoofball and actively encourage aimless punts in the general direction of the opposition goal.
