Forgot to add that with his contract expiring next summer, he should cost less than £2m in January, which makes it even better.

He wouldn't be our best midfielder. He's not as good as Fleck, and maybe Coutts depending on how he comes back.

I have no problem believing it. We're a good fit for each other and he'd be coming straight into the team. Admittedly Leeds would be a suitable move for him too but I don't think the richest clubs in this league would want him.

I see him as a similar player to Fleck but with more Championship experience and a good free kick.

Norwood is as good as Coutts on the ball, a better attacking threat and better defensively.

If we stick with the two and an attacking midfielder behind the strikers. Then Coutts is going to find it really tough to get back into the team, which can’t be a bad thing to have that competition in midfield.

Think you are right and against most of the teams in this league we need an enforcer in defensive Midfield be good to see what Bryan is like, we missed that player last season and also first two of this season. Coutts is still a way off being fit and even when he is fit there is no garentee thatbwe don’t get the Coutts MK1 back from injury too

He's not as dynamic as Fleck and not as much of a ball carrier. I don't think he's as good on the ball as Coutts but is more of an all rounder.

Ultimately we'll have 3 central midfielders all on a similar high level, but Fleck will always stand out I feel.

I think we could end up changing our system to get all 3 and Duffy in the team. The 4-3-1-2 I suggested seems a good idea.

I think people are getting a bit carried away he’s not signed yet and I’ve not seen any concrete evidence that he will

Your post sums up why I’m still sceptical about him actually signing in spite of how strongly he is being linked.

He would be our best midfielder and walk into the midfield of at least half the Championship, so I can’t believe that someone with a bigger budget offering more money isn’t in for him.

Talking to a piggy about him. I said he's been promoted in last 2 season's.

Pig response was - "hardly played in either, good player though"

He Started 22 but Featured in 39 of Fulhams league games last season. Plus all 3 Play off games.
16 starts, 17 subs for Brighton year before.

He would just edge Fleck out as our best midfielder, one thing’s for sure with those two together we would have one of, if not the best central midfield partnerships in the Championship.
Tbh I have only seen Norwood a handful of times... He looked good but it's hard to judge after a few games. We could be signing the next Dean Hammond or the next Xavi for all I know:)

I just really like fleck :)

What about Aribo from charlton, good on the ball and can pick a pass ( centre mid)

Possibly why he might be interested in signing for us, a team he will more than likely start every match.

You’d think with a fair bit of competition for his signature, Wilder will need to give him plenty of assurances that he will be playing.

Stop quoting facts in your arguments.

Excited for this. If nothing else we have signed someone who can put a ball in the box!

It's rare that we've signed someone of such unquestionable quality since being promoted. Someone who can go straight into the first 11. So even though we're already well stocked in midfield, we have to be pleased with this.

Looks a good signing, and possibly an improvement on Evans.
Though to be fair, I thought Evans was decent when he first arrived and just got worse. As if he lost confidence of the pressure was too much for him to be brave and take risks.
Norwood has played this level before and succeeded so shouldn’t be the same issues as Evans.

Let’s hope we manage to get his over the line, though by all accounts we already have.
Though I guess he’ll benliving in the hotel for a while which isn’t ideal.
Is he a southern lad? Hope he can get settled up here quickly.

Wilder said that's what he would do this window ,slow burn but getting there .A lot of fans don't seem to understand that it is tougher with a limited budget

I didn't think that Bash did too badly in that role yesterday ;)

Let's not count chickens before they hatch, but if it comes off, a very astute bit of business by Messers Wilder and Knill
