To be fair any player we sign from (most) championship or prem clubs (not on loan) would be deemed not good enough for their parent club. That's the market we're shopping in. It's what attributes the player has that we think we need and can make the most out of....
 

A lot of pigs keep saying we bid for Joao over the summer. It’s something that I keep hearing from pigs with no connection to each other and pork talk is rife with it.

Does anybody know if it actually happened?
I think he’d have been a great signing for us. Wilder would bring out in him what bald Carlos and Manuel simply couldn’t/can’t. The kids got bags of ability. It would proper bite them on the arse.

He was easily their best player in the two games against us last season, that’s not saying much but still.

Think there was interest on our part. Then we found out he's on 35k a week.
 
I’ve been bigging him up to my porky mates all season, saying he’s better than all their Galactico strikers. They laughed, then eventually, agreed.

So if we did nick him, my smug-o-meter will be off the scale.

Spoke to a pig-supporting friend of mine over a pint on Saturday and it just seems like a bit of a mess regarding average players on big earnings. Joao is good, but he's not £35k a week good (if that's true). Fletcher is on approximately that amount.

Both play the same position. If they're planning on playing with Nuhiu on his own up top then Joao might find his chances limited.
 
He's out of contract next summer so he'll score for fun this season.

There might be an opportunity to exploit them and get one of their strikers. They have a ridiculous selection of them and are desperate financially. I don't think they'll let Joao go though, but if we did get him that would be hilarious.

I've maintained for a while that he's the striker I'd want from them, so it's funny to see them finally resorting to him and Nooowyu up front.
 
I really think Joao is a good good player just waiting to be unlocked. He'd be the perfect signing to compliment a more high profile striker.

If we can find a middleground in wages I'd love us to go all out for him, but offer them half what they paid as he hasn't developed there at all.

I've only seen him a couple of times and I was impressed with him, is he really worth a 35k wage though? Doubt it...
 
New bloke seems to rate ‘Missing Link’ Nihiu so one of the ‘top’ players is going to miss out.

Unless they sell Forestieri then Joao, Winnal and Hooper could be on the bench.

If i were them I’d rob our set up and have Forestieri in Duffy’s role.

Its not true, however I thought when they came to the lane last season, he was their brightest player along with Reach

I am right in what I say
And I am not going any further than giving different opinions about the football club in a controlled manner.

No name calling, no personal abuse just different opinions backed up by facts over decades of failure due to incompetent boardrooms

But some people can't control what comes out of their stupid illiterate gobs and are too thick to understand the consequences of what they say

It did go too far, it doesn't usually happen on here unless a pig is on the wind up though so if you don't like it (just like I wouldn't) sod off back to porktalk.
