I’m not sufficiently ITK on our wage structure to be able to say as we don’t do any work with the Blades. I also don’t know if CW is remotely interested in him.

I could tell you what a lot of Championship players are on, but it would breach client confidentiality. I could also tell you things about agents fees that would make you want to vomit. I really dislike agents.

We advise a number of clubs on tax issues, particularly with overseas players and the structuring of their contracts. We also advise players, but almost exclusively EPL, and most of that is digging them out of a hole when they have tax problems owing to bad advice/greed.

Hypothetically I would expect a mid ranking Championship club budget to be able to accommodate him towards the top end of their salary range, but that’s not the same as saying it would be value for money. But as far as I am aware CW has never given any indication that he fancies him.

Not entirely sure that this is a realistic target wages aside - just doesn’t feel like a wilder signing.

I rate him though and I’d be all for it but I don’t think this is a goer.
