Exactly, he's 800 years old, he wasn't mobile even when he was 21
He will just encourage hoofball back to the Lane

Mind you some of you would be happy with that, it will give the club all the excuses it needs not to sign flair, quality, ability, mobility, pace and know how...…….. all those things that cost money and where you have to deal with agents trying to get the best deal for a wanted player
The club is "looking for excuses" not to sign good players? You'll be telling us they "lack ambition" next. The doom-mongers really have lost the plot.

Have we fabricated any offers yet in order to give the illusion of ambition?

This bloke seems to be trying to......

"...
Manager Chris Wilder expects new players to join Sheffield United "in the next week or two" as he puts his side through their paces in pre-season in Portugal...."

Like to know how Villa would sign him without selling 4 or 5 players beforehand.
If they sell Grealish they will be able to afford a number of championship level players and still bank 10m +
Also Gallaghers wages will be way less than Hogans so I'm sure they would view Gallagher in amd Hogan out as a good trade

They’ve got cashflow problems, FFP hanging over them and no one has offered more than £20m for Grealish.

Seems to me we're in some sort of love triangle here!

We want Southampton's Sam Gallagher. Problem is Southampton are after a replacement before he goes with Aston Villa's Keinan Davis apparently one of their main targets. If Southampton sign Davis that means Villa can afford Sam Gallagher who is their main striker target this summer!

So in essence we're waiting for Southampton to sign a forward but if that's Davis then that could mean Villa can afford Gallagher! As for Hogan we can't get him until Villa know that they're not losing Davis!

Ultimately I'm starting to think we won't get Gallagher but might get Hogan. All total guesswork of course!

I don’t see how Villa can even think about bringing players in. They cannot lose more than 13m this season. I believe they have to raise £50m in cash sales. But they still owe money for the players they purchased so depending on how they structured there deals they will still be paying a lot for them.

They have to reduce there wage budget down by £20m which is pretty much double our wage structure.

They are getting sued left right and centre from previous employees. The owner is funding the losses but he has a choice does he forget the FFP and go for it again. If they don’t go up the fine will be huge. It’s a mess up there.

Let’s hope tha he will sign when he gets back from China. For whatever reason we didn’t or couldn’t sign him last week.

Wilder seems confident of two players next week which makes you think one could be Gallagher on his return

You would be surprised. I’ve seen teams in far weaker positions than the blades spend much more than us on better players while we ‘tried really hard’ to get the deal over the line. United and ready made signings rarely go together.

My son's brother in law is a Saint's fanatic
He went to watch the Saints in China and later joined in with the team for photographs
Gallagher scored and the probability is
he will sign for the Blades

Nixon says Saints are trying to sign Ings

Once there, it allows Gallagher to leave "on loan"

Both us and Blackburn are chasing.

Both would struggle to pay his £24k/week salary and would need to be subsidised

Seriously, why the fuck did Southampton feel the need to pay a reserve player like Gallagher 24k p/w?

Completely over the top and unnecessary, and all it does is make it harder to loan him out, or sell him for that matter.

Financial based reluctance to loan a player out does not serve his development well at all.

So in summary, it's not beneficial to Southampton in any way and it's detrimental to the player's development.

These stupid clubs either need to bite the bullet and accept they'll have to subsidise the loan, or even better, not pay stupid wages in the first place.

This Sam Gallagher pursuit is getting as tedious as Dan Burn!

Seems we're in a double triangle for two players Gallagher and Hogan. We're waiting for other deals to be concluded and that suggests we will be scraping around on deadline day to get deals done. If Nixons figures are accurate and he's not got a good track record on accuracy then we are seeking to loan two players who will take a considerable wedge of the Clubs budget who we have little prospect of signing unless we get promoted to the premiership. May be time to start initiating plan B otherwise we'll be starting the game against Swansea with the same team that played Bristol City.

Finally. Someone who is ITK.

Can you disclose what exactly our budget is? How much hogan and sam g take out of it and why they are our only plan we have in place?
