Amazed how some of our fans decide in advance who’s good and Who isn’t. Who we are interested and who we aren’t interested in. Also there seems to be so many people ITK about finances etc.

I trust CW opinion on Gallagher (if he is indeed interested) over people on here who are probably in the bottom three on there fantasy football at work getting beaten by Sarah in accountants.

I am not sure how many times this rumour mill needs to be explained to you Sarah

twirlo replying to Walters and Crouch possibilities:

"I wouldn't be surprised, apparently hes got a list of about 14 striker targets. trouble is agents. I know I've said it before but its as if they are phoning each other and saying what their client is asking for so, say its not as much as one an other they go back an ask for more. Its a complete and utter joke, but a suppose Wilder will find out who really wants to play for us and isn't just money mad. Gallagher deal isn't dead. Wilder is weighing up whether to meet his wage demands and sign him or tell him to do one and hope an other offer comes of

The classic hedging your bets response. Faultless.

Even if we were interested, a 73 year old Crouch still wouldn't come, we won't be paying him enough to buy shampoo for his wife's fanny

Walters is exactly what we don't need, he won't be needed by anyone else either above Third Division level.
So I suppose this one could be a goer, no competition for him, not going to be outbid, Walters will sign for us rather than.....errr nobody.

Yes, I'll be surprised if we miss out on this one

Premiership, international striker not wanted by anyone above the bottom tier.

Ok Mate.

He is about 960 years old and coming from a family of Republic of Ireland fans I'm pretty sure he's past it

Oh...So because your Irish, you have a better gauge... ok mate.

BTW He's not 960 and before his injury he was still playing at international level, but nobody above the bottom tier would take him on.

Again... Ok Mate.

Out of interest...

when we signed a 30+ year old league one journeyman striker in Leon Clarke what was your honest reaction?

Absolutely no point lambasting a player before he’s even kicked a ball for us. It’s almost like you can’t predict what will happen .... especially under a manager who has proved he can get the best out of players for us.

I think Leon Clarke was 30-31 when we signed him
And to be honest I was ok with it,
Ex-pigs usually do better at the Lane and usually end up preferring their time with us than they did with them

But here's the difference, Leon Clarke has a good touch, a bit of skill, mobility, he's quicker than his languid style suggests, and he's a finisher.

Jon Walters flicks on hoofballs

The other has 50+ caps and 10 seasons in the Premier league. But I guess you know better.

Exactly, he's 800 years old, he wasn't mobile even when he was 21
He will just encourage hoofball back to the Lane

Mind you some of you would be happy with that, it will give the club all the excuses it needs not to sign flair, quality, ability, mobility, pace and know how...…….. all those things that cost money and where you have to deal with agents trying to get the best deal for a wanted player

Why would anyone hoof the ball up to a 5'8 player?

Not really getting this football lark are you.

I suggest MumsNet... Ok Mate?

Does anything pinch?

Do you have the urge to pinch?

Does too much bladeyness make you feel uncomfortable?

If the answer to any of these questions is 'yes' we may have news about a long lost relative. Expect a visit from Davina McColl soon.
