So it can hardly be Adidas showing two fingers to the club with a shit design, it if the club chooses it, surely?

My 'Did we upset them?' comment was meant to be taken in jest. I'm not really saying we annoyed a company and they gave us a dreadful shirt in return.

Change the blue to black and I'd be happy

Too much white. The sleeves need to be red.
And if it has a plain white back, I want a refund on my season ticket.

No they can't mate! Its Adidas!

I've not bought any Adidas shirt as like any shirt they are only in for one season and they're obviously expensive and they're not a traditional United shirt. If they produce one like the one below I will do!

This is the kit I would want but liked the white socks rather than back. The white socks would be good as the Essex branch of the supporters club would feel represented.

China’s new away shirt complete with dragons.

Why can’t we have similar with some fella pouring molten steel into a big crucible with ‘#forged’ embossed on it somewhere? That would be hipster-y.

I’ve got a beautiful Wolfsburg shirt that has a howling wolf embossed on it. That’s in the loft gathering mothballs I think.

If the away is the condivo 18 I’ll be very disappointed.

The bright yellow kit never looks as good when its with black shorts and socks and every time we've brought it out, it's always been with black shorts. Wish we'd change it to the kit that sir Bob is wearing!

Or the GREEN shirt even.....

Agreed. It needs to be yellow and red. We seem to struggle to find a manufacturer or tell them this is the best combo for away. Either all white like last year' third or yellow and red - does not have to be day glo either.

Last year' home kit was really good do expect a drop off sadly. People say it had a bit too much black in it but I thought it looked modern but had elements of retro and was just an excellent kit. The purple away was poor but if it is the yellow and black template then not impressed.

If they could do the green one shown previous page with the patterns in day good with red trim that might work. The teaser suggests it will have black Adidas stripes which I don't like. It' not hard....red and white stripes of decent thickness. Black shorts. White socks. Yellow and red or white away. Simple.

Yup. If they chose this I think it’d be a best seller...

Even the luminous one will sell like hot cakes. The two tone design does add a nice touch to the shirt. However, we should banish that colour as none since have ever come close to the 1989 one.

Agree about the red trim. The fluorescent efforts look poor with black. Red shorts, red collar and red drei streifen it’d look class.

Same applies to both change strips from the season gone IMO, red trim on both would’ve been far better. Especially the purple for the Fiorentina look.

Watfords home would've been a nice away shirt for us.

My belief has always been we should go back to Umbro after the Adidas contract expires. Last season's Derby away kit were that exact shade of yellow on the classic luminous shirt.
A Derby mate was wearing the Derby away shirt last week and I thought it looked very good , bright yellow, I commented to him that Derby often seem to get it right with there kits, don't try to over complicate it

The third shirt last year was one of the most beautiful in my lifetime. Much prefer black trim to red
It was nice. A modern classic - much like most of our change strips since we had adidas. With us being a predominantly red football club it just makes more sense and is my personal preference.

On adidas, the 16/17 home shirt is easily the best home shirt we’ve ever had IMO. And, even if we were the end the deal with adidas, this period of time with them; pretty much every shirt they’ve done us will become classics - much like the early 90’s ones are now.

Exactly, it’s personal preference. Which is why designing a kit must be a nightmare! The promotion season was one of the best I’ve seen - with black trim to the stripes it would have been a beauty. Then they overdid it a little with the black last year IMO but still a fantastic shirt. Both away shirts over the last 2 years have been a bit meh. The white one was a beauty.

Who actually decides what kit we wear anyway? Do the manufacturers just decide for us or do they send a selection for the club to choose from or do United tell them what we want.

The Club must have some say in it. Otherwise we could end up with any old colour (which admittedly we have done). But some clubs always have the same colours on their away. Preston for example always have a yellow away or 3rd shirt.
