dont know why Clarke was missing but time to give Ched his last chance of the season?

Anyone would think he is locked up again, says it all if he can't get near the squad ahead of Sharp & Donalson.

We don't have any players we won't be able to shift.

Anyone else here think we have been too generous with the contracts after promotion? We seem to be drifting back to the days of when we dropped into league one and had poor players on good wages that we couldn't shift without paying them up.

Not in the context of our overall wage bill, no. We paid some big wages to get ourselves relegated...

Should we want rid of some of the over 30's in the squad where else would they get a contract with two years left to run on it other clubs don't usually give over 30's more than a year.

Yes, some of the contracts dished out were unwise.

We've got older players on contracts that basically mean we can't get rid of them. We'll still be paying their wages and not be able to bring replacements in. Sharp, Clarke, Duffy, Holmes, Donaldson and even Evans for some unknown reason.

Do you mean for a fee? If so, tell me your dealer & i'll have an 8th of what you're smoking.

Nope, I just mean shift without having to pay them off. There's nobody on a daft enough wages to ability ratio to make them unviable for clubs at their level. And there's no utter trash who belong on the footballing scrapheap.

Yeah true, if Clarke’s legs go next season, we’ll need to pay to get shut in summer. But the overall amount of declining footballers on high wages isn’t comparable to 2011. It shouldn’t break the bank if we need to do it.

We’re in a far better spot than our neighbours in this regard.
