True. The phone way of doing it is very bad, especially if you're impatient like me. No lie, once i was number 1 in the queue for nearly 10 minutes!

I'm just worried that there will be mass queues outside the ground (like the Liverpool game) How would they work it with queues and the phone? I'm stressin... ignore me.

One person deals with the phone and the others deal with the queue... at the same time. You've a much better chance if you can get to the Lane.

I cant get to the lane tho :( I'm working in the afternoon and wont get back in time.

Now might be a good time to contract swine flu :D

I'd offer to go for you, but I'm at college tomorrow and can't really sneak off.

hmmm, I thought of that but I was off ill last week.

The other option is:

Try and get through to BDTBL on the phone tomorrow to get tickets. If you don't manage to get through all day, register on Palace's site and order tickets online for the home end. Living where you do, I can't see there being a problem with them sending the tickets to you.

It won't be as fun if the results do go our way, but at least you'll be there.

another thing, with general sale, is it usually one per person? Or if someone went could they get two?

They usually ask for loyalty number, but one person can fetch loads of tickets... the person fetching/ordering might have to give separate name and address details for each ticket though.

Just rang the ticket office and got through in 2 mins 26 seconds... must be a record, she said he can pick up 2.

Reading fans overall dont want blues up, few quotes here.

'Reducing the likelihood of Birmingham's return to the prem would do a great service to all football fans throughout the nation. Also, I think the best way to cure the poor blue noses of their delusion that they are a prem side would be to give them a damn good thrashing.'

'As long as there are dejected Brum fans in the south stand at the end of the game then ill be happy.'

'I would be a lot happier if there were NO Brum fans in the South Stand with a few minutes to go '

I want three, but given that I've only got one season ticket I can't see that happening...

looks like its the pub for me. WOuld love to go down, but unfortunately with it being a sunday match i have to have mini_MAQ home by 6, and even with a foot to the floor all the way back (And a police Escort) there's not a chance of that............ :(

I got 2 of the 200 this morning, both next to each other thank god (post on the official site said there weren't any tickets next to each other left). I really thought I'd missed the opportunity to get some, should have got them last week when I originally posted on this thread.

All I can say is... Phew.

A ticket update update:

http://www.sufc.co.uk/page/AwayMatches/0,,10418~1095887,00.html

Sheffield United will later today receive a second allocation of tickets from Crystal Palace for Sunday's fixture at Selhurst Park.

The Blades have sold out their original allocation but a second one of around 2,000 will go on general sale from the Ticket Office on Tuesday from 8am. Please note that customer reference numbers and proof of any concessions will be required.

They are expected to sell out quickly but another 1,000 tickets are expected to be available on Wednesday. Please check sufc.co.uk for latest news.

Tickets are priced at £24.50 Adults, £14.50 Seniors Over 60, Juniors U16, Students with a valid NUS Card, £51.00 Family Ticket ( 2 Adults, 2 Juniors Under 16), and £31.00 Senior Concession Family Ticket ( 2 Seniors Over 60, 2 Juniors Under 16)

So anyone who's bought tickets before should be fine as long as they have the numbers. Rather strange to limit it to people on the database with so many tickets but there you go.

It's probably just a token gesture to the local plod to provide reassurance on id of travelling fans. So when I kick off your nan can be arrested.

Haha... you aren't my Nannan though for this one :D

I'll be going down in the morning for some tickets!

Couple of rumours doing the rounds, both of which boil down to the same thing. APPARENTLY Sir Neil has handed the team selection to the assisstant, I guess he wants to be eliminate any doubt for motives etc.

Should be interesting. !!!!

I don't remember him being at United as assistant?

Mick Jones did come in for a while and then disapeered. If I recall, one of his family members came on here trying to track him down :D
