I felt this had to be posted, as it really is the first time i've felt this way in my life, and it feels pretty good.
It might just be me, but I just wanted to put it out there for other blades and see if you're feeling the same way.

Brooks is a f*cking unbelievable talent, I dare say in terms of attacking players the best ever to come through the academy, a bold statement but one I believe to be true.

Wilder is undoubtably a legend at this club already, he makes us proud, excited, and damn right happy to go watch the blades, thats not something that many clubs have, many at all.

I trust that whatever happens with Brooks, if we sell him or keep him, it will truly benefit the first team squad whatever happens. I think he's worth 10-15m in todays market. If we sell him, it will be with the best interests of the club, and the money will be reinvested, ALA Calvert Lewin, Maguire etc.

it feels pretty fantastic to feel that way, and trust the club, manager and fans that whatever happens under this will be of best interest to the club, that feels pretty f*cking good to me.

"McCabe's back pocket".

I'm gonna get misen settled for this one. :)

Someone needs to carve into the wall above Brooks' position in the dressing room;

Must.
Not.
Sell.

Hmm not sure we can really claim Brooks as our own academy product, we got him from Man City when he was 17.

Of course we can.
They rejected him.
He came to us because we have a reputation for developing real players.

Citeh can afford to Hoover up the best young talent from everywhere but don't necessarily nurture them or bring them on - they certainly don't play them in the league. It may be just a numbers game for them. See what diamonds come out of the lucky bag.

On the other hand our Academy is punching well above its weight. We came 8th in the country for time graduates spent on the pitch in the Premier League last season. And we're not even a cat 1 Academy. That's incredible.

City don’t need to nurture youth, they can afford to let them go and if they make it as a good player they can buy them back. They can spunk moneh like it’s going out of fashion.
