Undoubtedly a good footballer and expert penalty taker but played well when team played well but never seemd a 100% effort type which is one of the main criteria for our manager's vision.

Pinchy I'm sure this has been mentioned before and I just haven't seen it, but all this diatribe from you about Bladey Bladeness.....

You've previously admitted you got it completely wrong about tufty following a similar onslaught, so do you think it might be time now to take a different tack with the rumours of ex Blades. After all, occasionally they can work out. Maybe draw conclusions from their playing style, attitude, team fit, and don't just assume that because they're ex-Blades they'll be crap.

Just a thought ;)

Wasn't he our top scorer the season he played for us?
Just didn't rate him. Someone's going to be top scorer and he didn't have too much competition that season. When he joined us I thought he'd be good when he got match fit but he didn't seem to get much quicker or sharper. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he was a good pro who trained hard etc but he was just a bit too old. Maybe didn't help that we seemed to play more direct.
Anyway, I wish I hadn't reminded myself of that season, it was one of the worst I can remember.

United was his "last hurrah", he was already 32/33 when he arrived, scored around 1 goal every 3 games on average. Not a great return for a striker, but was part of a crap side, if we are al honest.

I do agree though Bush, I heard that he arrived without the managers prior knowledge.

He certainly was. He was far from rubbish. He was a cut above Nick No-Goals Fucking Blackman who just gets better and better the longer he does absolutely nothing.
Blackman was our top scorer when he left us, at the top of the league. We then collapsed and the rest is history.

I've no idea why anyone wants to go back now, but at that time Blackman was easily our best player, much more effective than Kitson later was, and selling him was a disastrous move.

Blackman to me was a one trick pony, he had a hell of a shot on him full stop. just give him the ball around the box and stand back ...

Leading goal scorer / one trick pony can sit happily side by side. :)

All my piggy mates say the same about Sharp but I just point to him pretty much scoring more than all of their strikers put together last season.

Can't believe he's still getting so much stick.

He only played half a season for us, he was our top scorer and we were top of the league. We sold him and dropped off due to a lack of goals.

Strange, innit? In 2012-13, rubbish Kitson scored 11 League goals from 30 starts plus 3 as sub. In 2014-15, the much-lamented Jamie Murphy got...11 League goals from 42 starts plus one as sub. Opinions, eh?

This is going to upset Hanson and Lavery if true. Neither of them look like getting regular games this season to me and the arrival of Blackman will push them further down the pecking order. TBH, If I was Hanson I'd be looking to get a move to a League 1 or 2 club before the window shuts at the end of August. Unless he's happy to be a bit part player?

I think Wilder should tell them to go and find a club, there not good enough from what I have seen of them both this season. They runaround but never look like scoring.

Hate, hate, hate ffs! Give it a rest, man.Hows about a bit of thought before you post? Anybody would think Hanson was a fuckin Pig!!!! For all the thick as fuck cunts in our fan base, until we have a similar type of player who's a younger, better version of Hanson, then WTF would CW get shut? Wether the bed wetters like it or not, he offers something completely different in both boxes to our team. Be that for 90 minutes, or the last 20 minutes.

Hence the reason Nuhiu is still a pig.

A good, solid Champ level player who I rated and enjoyed watching during his short stint at Utd and who has obviously done well for himself (career wise and financially) since leaving.

However, partly because of that, I can't see him returning. Would he make a decent strike partner for BS - possibly. Would his contract status and salary make him expensive - almost certainly. Would it take Derby to either take a big hit on his fee or heavily subsidise a loan move to make it more realistic - yes.

TBH - I think it far more likely he will end up at somewhere like Fulham, QPR or even back at Reading than a return to BDTBL.

He did nothing to prove to me that he could take us to,where we want to be other than the fact that he did take a good penalty. Thought it was a steal to get the £1 million for him.
Yes pacy but did not have sufficient awareness or skill to play the type of give and go football that is becoming our hall mark.
Much prefer a premiership youngster on loan, who I do not know but anyone on the fringes of a top ten premiership, squad has to be better

The period he went was an example of how a football club's season could be wrecked when poor decisions and ill fortune combine.

Our default attack setting was 'cagey' at best often with three fullbacks occupying the wide berths.

Like him or not, Blackman was providing goals, though he seemed to contribute more to open play when deployed wide.

You'd got Miller finding his feat, sometimes alongside Porter.

Then you had Diego seeminly breaking through.

In the space of a few weeks, Diego and Miller were on crutches, Blackman was a Reading player and Jonathan Forte was suddenly our main strike option.

I'm not convinced the style was conducive to success but even by our track record, losing three strike options in the space of a month takes some beating!

Would Derby loan him to us though?

Who knows? They could put a clause in the contract to prevent him playing against them for us. The link says Rowett wants him to get game time. He could get it with us.
