Give me a list of strikers who wouldn't break our wage structure and then I will pick one. I don't know which strikers we can afford and you don't too but Wilder will know and he is keeping his cards close to his chest. I would like a Brian Deane type. We can find someone better than Nick Blackman. Looks like we will have to wait until after the Derby match when PL clubs will be revealing their 25 man squad

Brian Deane played successfully for years in the premier league and even got an England cap. I think the chances of us signing someone like him are slim.

I'm offering a player that knows the league, wont cost us a transfer fee and wont have to travel far to join us. He even knows the club. He isnt the only option im sure, and maybe we can get a premier league striker on loan. I just dont think we should rule him out.

The lack of good striking options out there is something that should accelerate any plans we have to start exploring the foreign market.

Fully agree with you Ricky we really have to get better at using the foreign market.
Perhaps employ our own European scout

But we did sign him Gav, he blossomed under the right manager.

Great shout, though i'm not sure Brighton will let him go.

Still live according to my source. If his own brother can't persuade him to come, providing everything else is sorted, we might as well pack up, hadn't we?

Agreed, that is where we need to step up if we want to move the next level.

I’m not sure why there is so much talks of PL clubs naming their 25 man squads in relation to us loaning players. As I understand it, PL clubs can play players under the age of 21, over and above the 25 senior pros they have named. That means, the only players that become surplus by this process are those over 21. How many PL players over the age of 21, could we afford to pay the wages for? Surely our only chance is an 18/19 year old who is not yet earning mega-bucks. Those types of players would be unaffected by the naming of the 25 man squad as they are exempt (I think).

He was greedy but he scored 13 goals, about 8 were not penalties and he scored them from out wide often dribbling at people. He'll probably go abroad anyway.

Also, even if he doesn’t pick the pass to get the assist, there are rebounds, corners etc. as a result of his direct running and shots and the fact that he would just help us get further up the pitch by being able to hang onto the ball and give the opposition something to think about.

Am not sure too. I wish this transfer window would close before the start of the season rather than 31st of August as it seems to cause more problems when making plans after the season has started

Strange one this.

Qualifies to play for Israel, comes from the Jewish community in Salford. Probably wanted to play in Israel at some point of his career. Plus he has a chance of European football and titles over there.

I'd like it to close five minutes before we can register No-Goals Nick.
