Bash's performance

Completely agree, second half in particular he knocked their midfield all over the place and on the ball showed some real swagger.

He's been faultless for quite a long time now.

Massive player for us.

All the defence did well, but we still look less comfortable without Wright in there. And ultimately we were quite fortunate not to concede a 2nd. But I put most of that down to Charlton's quality and our midfield giving them a bit too much space, particularly first half.

Only Bash, O'Connell and Sharp were at it for the full 90 minutes today.

It's telling though that even when we only produce a 6 out of 10 display like today we still have too much for most of the teams in this league.

Bash raised his game after losing his place.

Credit to him for that, and making himself a crucial player. Wilder getting his best from him, and such a useful player to have and allow changes in formation and tactic without needing to make a sub.

I think being the spare man in the back three allows his energy to be spread about to help the team. In midfield he was guilty of quite a bit of aimless running over the last two seasons. It seems to be better channelled. He was brilliant today.

I love having a back three.

I'd say it looks a safer three with Wright. However, I wouldn't have swooped any of them for him today.

Said the same walking away , basham was again fantastic and with his recent performances I think we will def see him start in the 11 next season and on merit

Keep it up bash and the rest ! Nearly there !

Absolutely outstanding from that lad today. MOTM . Think Ethan did well also . JOC was quality. We did well to get the three points.
Bashambauer was my MOTM at Oxford and Swindon too, and others.
With Billy probably about to get player of the season I'd like to see Bash get some recognition this season as he's one of the most improved players I've ever seen in a utd shirt.

Looked like we play

Looked like we played with a back 4 for most of the game to me. Bash played well but thought O'Connell wasMOM. Best player on the pitch was Ricky Holmes.

Bash is a pleasure to watch. Puts a proper shift in. EEL is proper sturdy. Deffo getting season tickets for me and the kids next season

Yep as I posted on my way home, Bash MOM for me (after he was moved into midfield) with O'Connel a close second.

Sometimes we just need a bit more bite in there, but by saying that I don't mean Bash is just a clogger. Far from it, he's developed his game and looks far more comfortable on the ball than he used to.

I think he's answered all his distractiors and become the soul of our team and everything positive about it. Bob Booker Mk2 anybody?

Got to agree,I've criticised him earlier in the season, but today he was immense, especially 2nd half when we went 442 with him at the base of a diamond in midfield, protecting the back 4....he was everywhere getting blocks and tackles in.
