I thought Basham was the stand out player today. Absolutely immense, all over the pitch and looked better on the ball than I ever thought possible for him.

He's been faultless for quite a long time now.

Massive player for us.

All the defence did well, but we still look less comfortable without Wright in there. And ultimately we were quite fortunate not to concede a 2nd. But I put most of that down to Charlton's quality and our midfield giving them a bit too much space, particularly first half.

Basham has surely won over his critics, he is outstanding at the moment and Wilder has developed him into the player we never thought he would be.

Only Bash, O'Connell and Sharp were at it for the full 90 minutes today.

It's telling though that even when we only produce a 6 out of 10 display like today we still have too much for most of the teams in this league.

Credit to him for that, and making himself a crucial player. Wilder getting his best from him, and such a useful player to have and allow changes in formation and tactic without needing to make a sub.

A number of players were out of sorts first 20 mins. Credit to them as they have some good players

I think being the spare man in the back three allows his energy to be spread about to help the team. In midfield he was guilty of quite a bit of aimless running over the last two seasons. It seems to be better channelled. He was brilliant today.

I love having a back three.

I'd say it looks a safer three with Wright. However, I wouldn't have swooped any of them for him today.

With Billy probably about to get player of the season I'd like to see Bash get some recognition this season as he's one of the most improved players I've ever seen in a utd shirt.

He'd be a shoe in for me in the squad next season. Versatile and a faultless attitude, to go with the fact he's played at that level before.

Yep as I posted on my way home, Bash MOM for me (after he was moved into midfield) with O'Connel a close second.

Sometimes we just need a bit more bite in there, but by saying that I don't mean Bash is just a clogger. Far from it, he's developed his game and looks far more comfortable on the ball than he used to.

I think he's answered all his distractiors and become the soul of our team and everything positive about it. Bob Booker Mk2 anybody?

My MOTM too. I said afterwards he just loves to throw his whole self into a game of football for 90 minutes. It's quite incredible with the effort the whole squad has put into this season being a success that Basham still stands out with his work rate and commitment.

Got to agree,I've criticised him earlier in the season,but today he was immense, especially 2nd half when we went 442 with him at the base of a diamond in midfield,protecting the back 4....he was everywhere getting blocks and tackles in.
