United
Swindon (A)
Charlton (H)
Oldham (A)
Millwall (H)
Coventry (H)
Northampton (A)
Port Vale (A)
BRADFORD (H)
MK DONS (A)
Chesterfield (H)

Have the bottom 5 teams in the division to play and only Millwall and Bradford to play from the top half of the table.

Fleetwood

Walsall (A)
Wimbledon (H)
Bury (A)
Swindon (H)
Oxford (A)
Oldham (A)
Peterborough (A)

Millwall (H)
Gillingham (A)
Port Vale (H)

3 tricky away games in a row will determine them I think.

Bolton

Gillingham (A)
Northampton (H)
Oxford (A)
Shrewsbury (A)
Chesterfield (H)
Southend (A)
SCUNTHORPE (A)
Oldham (A)

Bury (H)
Port Vale (A)
Peterborough (H)

7 of their last 11 games are away from home. They travel and I mean travel to Gillingham and Southend. Straight after the Southend game they have Scunthorpe away who by then will probably be desperate to hold on to the play offs

Bradford

Charlton (A)
Swindon (H)
SCUNTHORPE (A)
Walsall (H)
Bury (A)
Oxford (H)
BLADES (A)
Wimbledon (H)
Rochdale (A)

10 points and 1 game ahead of us so probably left it a little late but could grab the 2nd place at this pace.

Scunthorpe

Bottled it

Overall

If you look at this from a neutral perspective you would laugh at the negativity which changes week on week with some fans. Last week it was Fleetwood, and now people are shitting themselves about Bolton again. Look at Bolton's fixtures!

I think we only need to win 4 to be sure of autos, 84 points. To beat or match that that every other team in current top 6 would need to average at least 2 points per game for the remainder of the season. Only Fleetwood have shown anything like that consistency and today must have knocked their confidence.

Whichever two teams come up with us will go straight back down next season, I reckon.

They don't have the strength of depth of squads, and only Fleetwood have the cash to strengthen - but they'll surely struggle to attract excellent players, because, well, it's Fleetwood...

Yes its a vast chasm between 1st and second place
In league one

I agree 4 wins & a draw & we are there! Does anyone see us losing 5 times more before the season ends? 85 points & we are up!

Fleetwood would need to win 7 from 10 to get to 85 Highly Unlikely
Bolton would need to win 7 & draw 1 from 11 to get 85 Highly Unlikely
Bradford would need to win 7 and draw 2 from 9 to get 85 Impossible
Scunthorpe would need to win 8 from 9 to get 85 Impossible
Millwall would need to win 9 from 11 to get 85 Impossible

I see absolutely no reason Bolton can't get 7 wins and a draw from 11. Theyve just hammered Fleetwood away.
Why arent Fleetwood more than capable of 7 from 10. They were unbeaten in 18 till today.
Agree re the other 2.
Points targets IMO are utter bollocks.
All we need to do is win the next game.
And only then look at the one after, etc.

We will have the chance to seal promotion at home to Coventry but some how manage to fuck that up and then a draw at Northampton in the next game will see us promoted. 100% ITK :)

knew this would happen ,book 9 days away ,just timed to miss only 1 game Northampton away ,then Im covered for play offs and everything. Flight gets back in Manchester to late for Port Vale game and we add those cunts Coventry in there ,we are bound to get promoted against Nothampton and champions against Port Vale FFS

Exactly. Which is why it was good for us that Bolton beat them.

I posted something similar earlier today.

Keep the chasers off our tail. Equal their results and we're Champions. Simple as!

As we are all pessimists I have actually been considering other angles in how promotion might not be obtained. I think the only 3 possible points deductions are for insolvency, ineligible players and crowd trouble.
I remember at Leicester thinking the ref might pull the players off the pitch because of the incursions after every goal.
We are in reasonable form, playing positively and staying injury free. Let's just keep up the support and with a fair wind you never know.

Win eight more games and don't worry about owt else.

7 or even probably 6 will be enough.

I believe we will get 85 points. Is that enough? I think Fleetwood will get 88 and Bolton 87, so no it isn't. PLLLLEEEEEEEZZZZEEE.....FFS, Just respect dem Gods for another few weeks. Let em think they have won.

86 will be enough for promotion, 14 from 10.

Dem Gods have picked on the other SUFC

It's certainly would appear that way. Apparently 3 penalties against 1 team in the last 10 minutes of a match hasn't happened since the 50's. Just the sort of bizarre event that would normally fuck up our season.

What's also bizarre is that they went 2-0 initially through two very saveable shots that went through the Gills keeper – luck in this one appeared very much on their side. And then they buggered it up spectacularly.

I'm just glad we're not in a position where we need x amount of points from the last 10 games in order to catch the top two. Or be in a situation where 'we need to win the next game to keep the pressure on'.

We're in the bladdy driving seat!!!!!

All we need to do is continue our season's form of 2 points a game which'll leave Fleetwood needing 28 out of 30 just to tie with us. Shouldn't be too hard. ;)

I reckon Bradford will get 2nd, there a good side and they've finally got themselves a goalscorer

My cashback is back up to a tenner tonight after going down to 8 quid.

Cashback really is a piss-take, I've had 2 out of 3 up in running bets a few times and the cash back hasn't even come close to what I'd 'won' at that point. The idea is to tempt people to cash-in yet 9 times out of 10 it's a no-brainer to let it ride.

The weird thing is, if we were chasing, people on here would be reasonably confident we'd do it ! Out in front and there's panic that we might not manage 6 out of 10.

Depending on the fight route, you could always ask the pilot to drop you off near Stoke on Trent?

Bookies in not giving money away shock!

We need 5 or 6 wins. So where are they going to come from? Swindon have won 2 and lost 7 out of their last 10. We should win that one.
Charlton have won 1 in their last 10. We should win that one. Oldham have won 4 out of their last 10 and only lost 3 so maybe not there. Same applies to Millwall who are on a good run.
Coventry are the worst team in the league so another win. Northampton away have won their last 2 so another tricky game.
Port Vale have 1 one in last 10 so another win. Bradford I'll assume no win. Then we have MK Dons away possible win although they do have 3 wins in their last 10.
We will beat Chesterfield. So my guess is we will be up by the time we play Chesterfield. Champagne at MK Dons methinks. :)
