I've just been flicking through the 'sufc' search on twitter and came across something regards adding seats and parking spaces to Cherry Street/South stand. I decided to have a quick look on the councils planning list and found it (below) am I being blind or can anyone shed any light on this? thanks.

If the image doesn't work it is page 25 of the top PDF: https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/planni...s/major-development-schemes-in-sheffield.html

Itmight be from the original plans for the World Cup. I seem to remember, we had to renew the request to save having to reapply all over again should we ever get around to it.

It more than likely is that mate thinking about it, cheers.

Wrong postcode. Bit of a surprise for a small business on John Street when over 6,000 seats get delivered. This'll be up there with the broken fax machine.

Believe Razor's referring to this from top of China Town

Bramall Lane is severely restricted in terms of increasing the size above c40k by the site width. Given the dimension of the site, we'd be better off in the long term flattening the Laver stand and turning the pitch through 90 degrees. The Bramall Lane end can expands 30-or so metres east into the space freed up by this and we can expand to 70k+ when the inevitable success comes...I've seen the Football Manager prediction of the next thousand years.

The hill might be an issue but then you could have the entrances half way up the New New South Stand.

plenty of room to extend what is now the Kop back, and to build a huge "new Kop" on the car park...

...the more astute of you will note I have also managed to change the position of the Sun in this picture...

It's being covered in Desso with the proceeds from the Ramsdale sale...obv's.

Who needs a Saudi Prince when we have SellyOakBlade, the son of Ra walking amongst us!

Love it! I would genuinely send this to McCabe.

You'd have to do it in Phases to ensure we still actually have a pitch to play on

Phase 1 - Knock down South Stand and Build "New kop" - rotate pitch by 90 degrees once complete
Phase 2 - Build "New Bramall Lane Stand" - join corner with John St and "New Kop"
Phase 3 - Knock down "old Kop" and replace with the new East Stand" - join Corner with "New Kop

Yes but where would we play whilst the rebuild is going on? Chelsea are already taking over Wembley when Tottenham have finished with it.

Posted mine as you posted this :) You would take the capacity down to less than 23,000 during phase one. Can't see that happening.

Phase 1/B - Check club bank account.
Rummage down back of sofa
Ring the Prince in a panic
Cancel phases 2 & 3 and aske everyone to bring their own deck chair.

I've just been staring at that for about 2 minutes trying to get my bearings. I didn't realise you'd altered it :tumbleweed:

The Kop needs making steeper then fill the corner in with the South. That is the first bit for me. You can see that it's not steep enough here:

Whilst the rotation of the pitch is a good idea in theory, the affordability of any such project is just a bit of a problem.

Could see Utd giving this some serious consideration, but only if we were back in the premier league and we're in the money. Then i think it would be feasible and it would potentially make the Lane a top top stadium.

Whilst I would be happy for Utd to undertake such a project, I would always want em to keep the Lane with a bit of character with probably different shaped stands each with their own personality. I hate the soulless new stadia which countless clubs have embraced over the recent years and football is poorer for it.

I used to love going away to watch the Blades and looking for the rickety floodlights of the club we were playing somewhere on the horizon. Each stadium used to have its own unique layout and design and it's own character. But now many have gone forever. Roker Park or Stadium of Light? Filbert Street or Walkers stadium? Baseball Ground or Pride Park ?? Roker, Filbert and Baseball Ground for me.

Many have sold out and lost their identity n soul. Luckily Utd have managed to retain their's by playing at the Lane. I would wager that most on here think that the Lane is almost a place of pilgrimage and are devouted to the place. A place where our forefathers went.

Can you give me your full name, d.o.b, bank account number, PIN and password.

You sound like a really intelligent sharp genuine bloke and there are a few scoundrels out there, so I'd like to move your money to somewhere 'safer'.

Whilst obviously I messed around on paint for 10 mins and did the drawing, i;m in no way advocating it.

I like the fact that the fundamentals of half our ground are as old, or older than me. A rotation would really affect the "feel" of BDTBL.
