The twitter rumours is we are taking over his Chesterfield contract which expires this summer. So Wilder may see it the same way, or he may impress enough in this short time frame and be rewarded with say an extra 1 year extension

Yep, just seen that. But if we're taking over his contract and no more, then it won't make much sense to pay any sort of fee will it? And Chesterfield won't let him go for nothing.

An 18 month deal would seem smarter. If we paid around 75k for him now, that value should at least hold in the summer with one year left. Plenty in L1 would take him.

As long as we don’t pay over the odds I’m not against signing him as a squad player but it’s not one that excites me or that I would expect big things from.

If Allen's pulled the plug on funding their losses they may have to give players away, just to get them off the wage bill and balance the books.

Ariyibi starting - there's not been much talk about him so far. Could he be attainable?

Jack Marriott starting for Luton. Been linked in the past and his family are Blades apparently. Small striker with good ability. He's just scored.

On twitter someone said that Wilder was at Chesterfields game last night. Can't say I'm desperate for us signing O'Shea but that said he looks decent from brief clips I've seen and he's been one of their better player over recent seasons.

If it's true we're just going to take over his contract I think he'll be most welcome. Can't see him being on as much as other players and he could certainly have some involvement, even if it's just cover.

Not all clubs and not all full matches, but if you have the EFL Player app and a subscription to Blades Player, you can view nearly every league team's highlights, full matches and player interviews. There are one or two clubs not on the list, Leeds being one of them and, for some reason, Leicester is included.

Aye, is not that well advertised on the app or anywhere else, but when on the app swipe right to settings then switch club. You seem to be able to do it any number of times :)

It seems that some clubs offer a full match replay, and some don't. But as long as a number of them do you'll be able to watch full games involving any team including those who don't show the full game on their own site.

Oh well. I'll just have to make more storage space in my football supercomputer/brain!

We'll be relying on you for much more accurate player info now Rick.
I don't bother about other teams much so it's not that much use to me (I've got all on following the Blades at the moment, I'm that busy!)

Could do with a Wallsall ticket if anyone's got one going spare though, I've just acquired a free weekend :D

O'Shea looks a little underwhelming TBH but so have most of Wilder's signings, he has about a 90% success rate with them so far so I ain't arguing with Sir Chris if he brings the lad in.
