Sorry if this has already been posted but how long is he likely to be out for?

And do we know how he broke his jaw? Has Billy chinned him for not passing to him in a training game?

At least 4 weeks I think for a broken jaw.

We missed him at times yesterday, even though Scougall did quite well. It was a game where his closing down would've helped a lot at certain times.

Hopefully Lavery and Chapman get chances up front and take them. We can't just carry on with Sharp on his own.

Breaking news. He's not all that good. Scoogs did everything he does and more (scored a goal). We need better and Tufty knows it. He won't be in the team come next year.

Totally different players who bring different aspects to the game.

I agree he's probably not good enough for the Championship, nuisance factor only in the dying minutes of games or, more likely, sold to a club looking to get out of L1.
And it seems from CW's approach that now Scougall is in possession of the shirt it's his to lose.
But it's good that if Scougall gets injured or loses form we have someone of Done's quality to step in. Of course, we could give one of the kids a run instead.

I agree that he is not a long term answer but I like the lad. He runs around the same as Scougal does and I would think over a season even in same position, Done woould score a lot more goals. The lack of quality of both of them is lacking (both have poor touches/control at times) but the work effort of both players cannot be underestimated. They both must be horrible to play against. I still think some out and out pace is lacking up top though; need to see more of Lavery.

Scougall has more goals though now tha Done doesn't he which makes my comment above seem daft!!?

We could do with some goals from Fleck (loves a shot) and Coutts (does not love a shot) though as I am not sure any of the other strikers will get 10 goals this season, outside of Billy of course.

Fortunately he's not broken it, small fracture. Hoping to be ready for next league game.

We missed Done's pressing yesterday: MK were able to expose a lack of mobility and strength in the middle and we won the ball back much closer to our own goal. Moving Bash into the middle helped reduce this problem.

Agree with that but then we lost the effectiveness of Fleck and Coutts ,who both had to work hard on supporting the full backs.

did you agree with the change to (in effect) 4-4-2?

was "our" change instrumental in giving MK lots of the ball?

Suppose it's some thing we will never know as to whether sticking with 3-5-2 would have meant giving MK problems and them having to change.

I think Mk were a bit better than most are giving credit for and therefore Wilder was right I suppose ,Im more of a go for them than stop them type though. I do feel like he is doing anything to accommodate Basham ,we have been at our best with 3-5-2 ,Fleck Duffy and Coutts in the middle ,I do prefer this and would not shoehorn Bash into the back 3 of EEl-Wright-OConnell either. Suppose it depends on the opposition ,but I would have Basham on the bench if we are full strength as he can cover a lot of changes in personnel or tactics.

Not Dones biggest fan but we missed him yesterday.

Lavery should start in the cup and see how he does, he looked lively yesterday. Ready for a start

Are you for real.
We badly missed Done's energy and constant closing done yesterday (Their defence and keeper was very suspect)
Yes Scougall scored a goal but I wouldn't like to rely on him every week.

Agree. If you look at how the MK goal started, Done has been closing those sort of situations week in and week out....

Done's ability to keep up our pressing game even late on is a testimony to his incredible fitness level. The goals haven't come his way of late, but he's picked up a few assists and he does a lot of work that should be appreciated. Great that Scougall could come in and make an impact, but I'm a big fan of Done up front.

yep agree with all that - Fleck, Coutts and Duffy offer us much more as an attacking threat - why do we need defensive midfield players? Let the opposition worry about our three creative players.

I like Basham, always have, but think our style is now moving away from what he brings.

As for yesterday - he struggles in a 4 and to see us with Fleck wide left and Duffy wide right was a bit disappointing - even if they all dug in and did a valiant job.

I have to put it out there that I am not dones biggest fan by a long shot, but I have to agree with what people have been saying and that is I think we missed him at times yesterday. Seems a shame for done to loose his place in the team all together but for me he just isn't good enough in front of goal for him to be a striker playing a long side billy we need some one that is banging them in as well at side of sharp for us to really start scaring teams of facing us. I would like to see more of lavery and see where he could fit in because he has looked decent the last 2 games I have seen him he looked to cause problems at Bradford when he come on to. Like I say I am not dones biggest fan so I might be been a bit biast here but I just don't see him as an out and out striker would like to see him in the team some where as his energy causes teams problems and pressures teams well but I just can't see where his best position is or where he fits in.

I bet the MK defense were glad he wasn't playing. They had lots more time on the ball with him not being around.

You don't see where he fits in despite the fact that we are 11 games unbeaten with the second highest goal tally in the league and he has played in 10 of them?

Your second striker needs to be a goalscorer. He ain't. We need to do better.

According to the OS he has had 10 shots on target this season.

His work rate is good and he is obviously getting into the right positions just needs to convert more.

Might be a confidence thing
