How do we constantly manage to evaporate all ability, hunger and desire from our players. We are footballer's kryptonite.

As for 'cover in that area', fucking who? Freeman and Basham? We're in serious trouble this season.
Basham was better there last season then Brayford has been. Though I'm not convinced by that switch, we've got little to lose and much to gain, including the enormous wage relief.

Of course, as always, it's what we do with it that counts.

Brayfords a League One full back and on recent form not a good one either. Adams is a lazy underachiever who is more about potential than actual performances. In my view we won't miss both, certainly not Brayford. Its clear that Brayford wasn't happy at the Lane or he would be playing much better. Wilder's hardly endorsed Brayford recently so it's obvious that Wilder isn't fussed either about Brayford, and on current form nor would I.

People said the same sort of crap when we got rid of Reid, Ward, Britton and Bartley and brought Collins and Doyle in under Adams.

That went well.

I think we should just close the club down now we've lost Brayford.

Time to get the Beard T-shirts at half price now in the club shop! Never brought one anyway, I wanted longer thann 4 months of good form to consider him worthy of all the adulation he got, unless he scored two goals on his debut v the pigs. BOBBY, BOBBY, BOBBY DAVISON, BOBBY BOBBY, BOBBY, DAVISON! Now he is a legend in one game as far as I'm concerned!

Well, you seem quite relaxed about losing Adams and Brayford and replacing them with loans or lower division players.

Enjoy league two.

Because they both contributed so much didn't they? We'd have been relegated without them...

McNulty will be next.

We are going down.

The worrying part of Wilders quote is " now we'll look to strengthen" I thought we were looking to strengthen anyway?
I'm sure that's just wording. We just signed a keeper who I'm sure didn't just turn up. :)

Maybe so but we could have got at least £500k for him and covered the cost of the new keeper. As ever with United every silver lining has a cloud.

Everything about this once great club is a farce, except the long suffering fans that is.Brayford touted as the best right back in the third div by CW is now allowed to leave, my only wish is that the rest of the fkin squad follows, how I long for those heady days under Danny Wilson with Ched leading the line.

Doyle and Colins served us better than the list of players you mentioned! All of them were total crap! Doyler and Collins got the club too, in my view and served it with passion and effort that many more talented players never did.

Again, I wouldn't really care. And if we go down (which we won't), it will be down to tactics and formation, not the quality of the players we're signing.

Doyle and Collins were worse than the players they replaced and got us relegated. What are you, a goldfish?

Adams scored 11 goals. That is contributing a lot. I know you don't understand this.

And I know you don't understand how team dynamic can change and compensate for the loss of individuals. We have enough goalscorers. We need to create more. Adams was never a creator.

Suggesting Brayford and Adams combined made a significant contribution last season is stupid. League Two without them?! FFS!

If you're gonna hark back I'd rather hark back to Bassett and Warnock mate! But yes in hindsight I'm sure we would have signed Ched! But who knows, maybe McCabe overruled any interest we don't know bud.

This is Christmas 2010 all over again. Asset stripping replaced by crap with a manager out of his depth.

Been stuck on the M62 all afternoon so only just heard this news...

....my initial reaction is.

CW is starting to look as lacking in clue as NA: that IS a worry.

Or maybe one day, the realisation that most of the fans are the clueless ones, and that we should just stop heaping pressure on managers, might sink in where it counts.

Of course, perhaps the 6 promotions gained by Wilder and Adkins were really down to luck luck, as a few fucking idiots have seriously suggested.

We have enough goal scorers but they are playing out of position or in a formation that doesn't suit them.

I genuinely think re Adams goals you are blind to it deliberately or (less likely) just don't understand how important goals are.
