Tell em all £5m or fuck off. If we end up getting £3m then that's ok but anything light is insulting.

Fair play to our lot for the first time in recent history we appear to be not bending over on a first date. Has something changed?

Yes, Kev has noticed I've put up my Torches and Pitchforks pop up shop in the Car Park in case this deal goes through.

Second bid turned down from Birmingham say James Shield on twitter....sorry don't know how to put twitter on here:oops:

Bid rejected.
Sources in the Midlands now suggesting Birmingham's second bid for Che Adams has also been rejected. #sufc

James shield stating that Midlands sources indicate that birminghams second bid for Adams has been rejected.

Good god other people than me with nothing better to do lol

Anyone know if we rejected the bid?

I'm not surprised that the second bid was turned down. It was £1.7m with £400,000 in add ons and was considered to meet our evaluation, presumably putting our evaluation at somewhere just in excess of £2m. If you then factor in that Ilkeston have a 15% sell-on clause, that would take our slice to around £1.3m up front, would it not? Way short of £2m - piss of you Brummie cheapskates.

In any case - I'd be holding out for much more. If an unproven Kyle Walker can leave for the top flight after only 7 appearances for £3m, a much more proven Che Adams with regular first team football and a decent scoring return and bags of potential would be fetching AT LEAST £3m in my book. As I've said before, Che is more important to us, than he is to them so we should be expecting them to pay way over the odds. Fuck it, ask for £5m.

Think £3m is strong for me. But hey if we get it!

I think if we keep it on the boil and its gets cloer to the start of the season we get a better chance of achieving a higher figure. Get another club involved (Villa, Derby or the like) and then you watch the valuation have no bearing on reality.

He's nowhere near Kyle Walker for me.

I agree, Kyle was showing prmise in a top end championship side when we sold him to Spurs, Che might have played more but he's still seen as a raw talent and inconsistent performer in league 1.

And he could also take a fuck off tablet ....... one of the really big ones that you have to break into 4 bits to be able to swallow it !! :D

UTB & FTP

Good idea Darth, I'm also coming round to the idea of rectallly administering it, not by me though!

Indeed its sounding better ........ a massive fuck off tablet administered rectally ( without lubricant ) on the end of an industrial sweeping brush !! :D

According to a Birmingham fan we should be grateful cuz we're a "poverty club"
That'd make me price them out of it... Do they even have a £, who actually owns em
Carsten Yeung I think who is banged up in HK on money laundering charges.

Anyone ITK think Che is ok with the second bid getting rejected? Can't help feeling that a unhappy player isn't usually one we should keep on the books. There are always arguments for him playing well to get a transfer later, but it's a gamble.

Not quite registered with some yet, so here goes again:

Forget all this "keep him" shite. Our manager wants to sell him. He wants the money for recruitment.

I have heard Newcastle are back in for Adams despite declaring they are no longer interested.

That's because we've realised we can't get what we wanted but hope we can get more than we've been offered.

Rafa told me.

What makes you say that?
I'm not doubting you I just wondered why you think Wilder isn't keen?

Come on Bm your seasoned enough to know the source rules.

I have a source and its not HP.

Although a move to Newcastle I would guess suit Adams most and they are the ones that are most likely to pay the fee we want for him.

I'll just say again in case some were not listening:

The manager, Tufty, everyone's Bladey favourite. Remember him? Well, he wants Adams to go. He doesn't rate him too highly and wants to sell him to fund other recruitment.

Still, if you lot want him to stay against the manager's wishes and scupper his plans, that's your right of course. Rather silly and self-defeating, but your right...

Just out of curiosity. Were have you got this information?

Good to see he pretty much admitted their finances dictate they need to offer less than what a player is worth and try to get away with it.

Pleasing that Wilder agreed with his assertion and gave them short shrift.

That said, strange thing to admit. Wonder if he's in line for the Hull job and he's just shooting from the hip now!

Either way, offloading our better players to a team like Brum at knock down prices doesn't point to an ambitious future. Newcastle at TOP dollar, very different.

Well the fact the Brum manager is admitting that they have to try it on with their cheap bids should tell everyone including Utds board that for once they have called it right. I wouldnt have a problem with Adams being flogged if it means Wildthing has some spare mula to spend on the side, but any sale has to be heavily weighed in our favour. Id want close to 3m for the lad then if that comes on then its the right deal. Lets hope the Geordies fancy putting some of their wedge our way and we can then use the coin to get out of this god forsaken division. Well played Wildthing and Uniteds board....the latter for once.
