People liked Mongy cos he run around a lot, I've taken up running perhaps the same fans would like me centre mid.
Bit harsh that mate

Legally binding or otherwise?
It's not a contract if it's not legally binding is it?
I was wondering if MB oversaw this one as well.
I am not going to even offer to drive him there. Make the twat walk
Anyway what was Clough saying around this time last year before he got the sack.

An option could be by way of 'gentlemans' agreement'
The Hammond debacle has dominated the shock waves but actually the James Wallace contract is even more ridiculous.
When the lad arrived he had suffered serious injury periods in his career, it was known his career was threatened and yet we gave him a 3 year contract.
Why would we do that? Was there serious competition for his signature? He was arriving from Tranmere and had played 16 games the previous season, 19 and 18 the previous two seasons.
Irresponsible and negligent. Totally unnecessary. We had a budget and so many potential targets and other weaker areas in the squad anyway. Tossers.
Pinch.Well done Tufty. You've made an excellent start. Just what was needed. Very pleased in particular that you haven't succumbed to any Bladey drivel about Kennedy and De Juve. Have another look at Paul Coutts though. He's a very good footballer in need of nothing more than an injection of enthusiasm. Oh and beware acting on your mates' advice as seems to be thought a good idea by some on here. We don't want management by anyone's mates thank you...least of all by the crude, parochial, Bladey Blade brigade. Anyway, I digress. More impressed, so far than I expected to be. I might well use that season ticket after all...
Very amused by the Hammond comments though. This from a group of fans who made Nick fucking useless article Montgomery, who was just as bad, and given an equally ridiculous contract extension by that equally fucking useless article SemiPro, a club legend.
Sometimes I despair; sometimes it's a wry smile.
We will need someone in the squad who can compliment the workers.
And right there is Adkins' parting gift, stuck with Hammond who is immediately transfer listed.
What a pair of thundercunts.
Why sign on somewhere you are so universally, dare I say unanimously disliked??
Why on earth would he do that...surely he knows that there's no love for him at the Lane...unless he's trying to hold the club to some sort of ransom![]()
Urgh, Clough said 2 years with an option of a third year. Looks like either Clough is either a liar or Wallace is an arse.

At least the cunt Hammond's not going to be seen on the pitch again.
It's just off the pitch where he'll continue to hinder us. I hope to God it's not a generous contract.
And if appearances triggered this option, why on earth did the club allow Adkins to continue picking him?
If Hammond really didn't want to be here, he'd not have taken his option up. Unbelievable we're stuck with him, and he knows the wages we've offered are far better than anything else he'll get from the Dog and Duck or wherever he'd end up, after the season he's had with us.
So, taking a step back and a deep breath, despite all McCabe has said about small budget, etc., is there something going on behind the scenes? Prince putting more money in? Or is Wilder going to fashion a team of free transfers and academy players? We might still be left with a lot of players on the books if no one comes in to buy the ones transfer listed.
I don’t think he wants to be here but whilst ever he is, he’s guaranteed the amount of money we agreed to pay him which he probably won’t get elsewhere. Let’s say he’s on 10k per week for example. He can probably get a season long loan or a transfer to another club who might pay him £6k per week and we’ll have to fork out the other £4k because it’s better than keeping him on £10k.
He’s looked after himself financially at the expense of a club that doesn’t want him. Nigel Pearson managed to sneak him an extra year at Leicester before getting the boot and now he’s managed it here. He must have a bloody good agent. Over last year and this coming one he’ll probably earn £1-2 million from clubs who don’t want anything to do with him.
He did well for Leicester, according to their fans, but clearly his legs were gone by the time he came to us. Much as I don't like Hammond, if he'd been surrounded by pace and skill, he would have looked much better. That's still Adkins fault though because it was Adkins who gave almost no football to Scougall and Adkins who pared Coutts with Hammond. Can you get any slower! Well you can, because he played Basham in there too at times! Basham I hope is played at centre half next season. His lack of pace won't be exposed so much there and he is a decent player and gives his all, as we all know.
From the previous two manager's signings.
Only one, ONE.
I would keep.
What a legacy they have left.
The first(ish) thing the new manager does, installs him as captain.
Really? I would keep
Brayford
Basham
Adams
Done
Sharp
out of the previous 2 managers' signings. I wouldn't have been against keeping the Kieron's either but it seems attitude (Freeman) and injury (Wallace) might have seen an end to their blades careers.
I wouldn't have been against keeping Edgar or Baptiste either but think we might be shopping in a different market now.

It might just be only me.
Apart from Billy, I feel the rest are only at BDTBL for the £sd. There might be more, but i'm not feeling it!
I'm associating the rest with "failure" ...
Holding off any ST on the basis of who the new manager recruits.
These last two seasons have been traumatic in the sense that in years and years, i've not been enjoying the football.
That's not "right" .. not for me anyway.
I hope that there's going to be one SUFC that's going to make start wanting to be at BDTBL , not just going out of habit.
