I cannot believe Hammond will be on 15k a week think this is just a finger in the air guess, he will already told his agent I dont want to play for United and tge fans dont like me but I will sign and take the money while you get me a new club lined up, take your time I'm off on holiday, happy days. I dont think I have ever witnessed anything like this before, I, like most everybody ekse expected to be disappointed when the list eventually came out, but Hammond aside I am really positive about it, I fir one am happy about scougs, a five man midfield with him in (like under cloughy) hitting them at pace on the break coukd see the old scougs playing like he used to, might just have a pint now to discuss in more detail of course.

Silly move by Nigel if he asked for that clause to be put in Hammond's contract but this is not something new to us as a club.

Also correct me if I am wrong but that makes the new technical board look daft as that was setup prior to Hammond staying on in January. So I assumed that they were there to block moves such as this. I thought that was why Adkins appeared not be allowed to sign anyone else in the window.

Although that does mean someone at the club was or still is agreeing deals with players that allows the player to renew their contract not the club. Collins being another good recent example of this happening.

As for everyone else on the list then its fairly spot on but ideally I would have liked to see McNuts and Scoogs listed as well.

Think shorehamview was referring to Curtis Woodhouse Bert, chill.
Shorehamview wasn't. He thought that perhaps Bert was beyond that, but as Bert has pointed out, yon other chap has been winding Bert for quite the while and mayhaps is in need of a quiet word being spoken. Or several noisy ones, if Bert feels that way. Bert is usually quite mild, except on the subject of Cuban beverages. Perhaps Bert has had his chain yanked one too many times?

Clearly you have an image of Bert as a little old man who you think you can bully and demean.
Name a time and a place and Bert will come to see you and we will see if you have the balls to carry on with your shit to his face.
Should have been Esablade you quoted there I think.

Who at the club agreed this with Hammond? Managers don't do contracts.

Also, it's quite clear that all the so called ITK guys taking about the released list actually knew very little.
Looking back at how long the negotiations took to bring him here I guess it was part of the loan agreement?

As always, some of the players released and moved out will surely do better elsewhere. And I won't be surprised to see some back at the lane running there socks off for a new club. Of all the released Flynn had a finger in some of our best performances which was in the FA cup. Problem is all our players have dipped, with new surroundings and less expectations some might rise.

#171 followed the Curtis post of #170

Arguing over someone like Hammond, come on lads at least fall out over something meaningful

If he is, we should still give him a free transfer. Doesn't matter how shit the club he goes to, find someone that can afford 3k a week for a traffic cone that only moves when absolutely necessary*, I'm sure every season ticket holder would be happy to chip in a quid a week to get him to fuck off

* - by absolutely necessary, I mean to get a booking

Indeed Bert is normally tolerate of most things but this guy won't let it drop. Bert would never dream of writing stuff on here that he wouldn't say to someone's face.

Lol...think you're doing Barney a disservice their Bert , might be best to apologise to him.

...probably all that frothing at the mouth that caused that...as for the threats of violence, you appear to be a bit of bully who's happy to 'give it out', but not so to take a bit back...each to their own...you can always pm me if you've got issue's...

Time and place, just name it.

Is it in anyway possible that Hammond just doesn't realise how useless we think he is?
If he doesn't read the forums and thinks that all Subs get booed off then maybe he thinks we like him?

Don't think you can blame the club for Hammond.

Most wanted him to sign originally - He was a prem player.

if he'd come in and done brilliantly then we'd lost him to a champo club - We'd also be fuming.

Turned out he was a slow splay footed twat with no redeeming features but that's life. Hopefully we can get rid soon, it does show a lack of professionalism to sign where you arnt wanted at all tho

As much abuse as Hammond is getting here, much deserved it may be, he is categorically not the one to blame.

If some daft cunt offered you a ridiculous contract tomorrow, securing a better future for you and your family, would you turn it down ?

Me thinks not.

Fault is fairly and squarely at the hands of those knobs that put the contract together in the first place. Chief knob being Adkins.

This must have surely cost him his job.

UTB.

Interesting timing of Turnbulls departure. To me my imagination the following happened:

CW: "Dean, you've been absolutely gash. You're not being kept on or offered a contract"

DH: "actually boss I can stay here if I want"

CW: "says who?"

DH: "its in my contract, look. I am going to activate it and stay"

CW: "which ####ing #### with an abyss for a brain put that ####ing clause in there????"

DH: "Turnbull"

CW: "TURNBULL! TURNBULL! MY OFFICE. NOW"

LT: "yes boss"

CW: "did you put that ####ing abomination of a clause in this #### buckets contract?"

LT *shaking*: "yes boss"

CW: "well #### off out of this club then. Your wages are paying for him. And you, you scrounging roach, are finished. Now get out of my sight you worthless cretins"
