“Ah Sheffield United? Diego De Girolamo! One day, he will play for Juve!"

Corrected that for you ;)

Was there ever such a wasted career?

Or, are his best days yet to come?

Can't believe he's still only 23. seems to have been around for years.

Up a mountain in Sicily in a tiny bar when the guy says where you from?

Sheffield the reply.

Ah Sheffield United? Premier league !

Happy Blades !
Probably one of the blokes from the camp here in Iraq, i've been banging on about Sheff United to all the Italians and Sicilians here for the last 4 years.

Clearly lying.

Not only do all Italian football fans crave the day that the Massivo take their rightful place in the Champions League, but the Mafioso doff their corrupt caps to Don Chansiri

"I'll make you an offer you can't refuse ........

Ten million for Rhodes"

A decent first attempt at an exotic holiday plug, but Sicily is no Vietnam.

We were up a small hill in Teesdale yesterday, but no bar or enquiring Smoggies to report.

Must be wrong, I remember him as a kid and I’m 34 next week. He’ll be 29/30.

What’s it like? On my list as I imagine it’s great food with good history?

Years ago, back in the BM days.

There was a man, who, in the outback of Australia, proper ''Dundee'' country, where human life was scattered amongst mountains, rivers and desolation.
Stumbled into a bar, shack, where two old native Australians were conversing over politics, nationalism, the decline of Aboriginal rights.
They beckoned him over, slightly concerned that out of nowhere, in the middle of nowhere, came this tourist. They muttered to each other,
then in a tongue which the man could barely understand, asked him, ''Stranger, where are you from?'' .....

''I'm from England, overseas'' he said, speaking in a hushed tone, barely a whisper.
''England, The Queen, London Palace, Eastenders.... where in England are you from?'' they enquired.

''Sheffield,....''

but before he could add anything, they interrupted him, gleaming smiles showing toothless sockets, ''ahhh, the home of the famous, the MASSIVE, Sheffield Wednesday..''

the man from Sheffield, smiled, knowingly, that no matter where in the world, his club are so famous, so Massive, that even two old native Australians had heard of his club.

This my friend, is a true story, it was written on BMad.

Arrived in Portugal yesterday. On landing the pilot announced “when disembarking on the steps, as the saying goes Mind The Gap”. Our pilot was a Blade :-)

How much his injury hampered him I don't know, but DdeG never convinced me once in either the under 21/3's or first team after looking a potential star when I saw him in the juniors.

I can, remember when DdeG was being hailed as the new Messiah, boy he's soon forgotten about same as Jordan Slew what happened to him.

I was lucky, cycling around the island with friends, we found some great, unspoiled, quiet beaches. The marinas are nice but exclusivity pushes the prices up. Grand historical architecture.
My info is only 24 tears out of date. Sorry BladeinIreland.

was in the ukraine got talking to some lads.. mentioned sheffield united..

There was also the one about the reclusive aboriginal tribe who hadn't been spotted for many years. When someone finally stumbled across their village they all had Chris Waddle haircuts.
