Why don't Americans use electric kettles? Why faucets rather than taps? Does any one from the US shop at 'American' shops in the UK? KitKat cereal?

Top Of The Pops volume 6 - 1973/4 - Roll away the stone , Looking through the eyes of love to name but two of the legendary tracks covered by session musicians.

Loved that album , bought it in London with my spending money when visiting Tutan Kahmoon , or whatever his name was - he was dead anyway
Some of those 'not original artist' TOTP album tracks were really good and accurate, others, not so. I used to buy them all the time, or rather mummy did for her little treasure. Best ones from memory - Seven Seas of Rhye, Don't let the Sun Go Down On Me, Broken Down Angel, Skweeze Me Pleeze Me,. Worst - too many to mention but Can the Can gets a special mention. That scream in the middle sounded someone being pushed off one of the climbing apparatus in the playground. Hilarious.

Is Karl Robinson finally gonna take over united
Yesterday afternoon, Robinson was a guest on 5 live with Mark Chapman and others as they did a special on the EFL games that were going on.
Last time I heard him live was years ago when he was at the height of his achievements and he came across as very pretentious about his methods and Adkins like in the way he worked with and treated his players off pitch, but yesterday he was completely different as though all the smoothness had been knocked off him into an old school Wilder type.
He had some good anecdotes, especially when they got onto taking young players on loan from PL teams and one of the parent clubs insisted that the player he had loaned play in the exact area/position on the pitch that they considered was the best for him despite Robinson telling them they didn't play that way and he had brought the kid in on that basis.
Another time he had subbed a young loanee, don't know if it was the same parent club, but they got onto him saying they were diminishing the players confidence by doing that so Robinson said if the player wasn't prepared to run around in the way he and the supporters expected,he would get hooked, whatever.

I listened to that and thought he had some funny anecdotes.

He's still a gobby Scouser who I wouldn't touch with a barge pole, though.

Sounds like he's desperate to get back in after Savage nicked his job,got some hard work to do somewhere if he's going to restore the MKD levels. That Warnock anecdote was good though
